First Blood (1982) is a brilliant movie , all the rest of the movies in the series are cartoons .
Haven’t watched any of those movies, but I thought that was the consensus opinion.
Brand Upon the Brain! is my favourite Maddin film, so I absolutely can’t agree with you on that count.
I recently finished the fourth draft of this screenplay.

It’s 90% identical to the draft featured here, but figured I’d share it anyway, especially since I’m preparing to resume work on Stargate Reimagined: Part II.
Added Hayao Miyazaki to my list.
I was a hair’s breadth away from giving the first Turtles 7/10.

"That MacGyver’s a genius."
"First of all, he’s not a genius, he’s an actor. And second, he’s not much of an actor."
"You’re lying! You’re lying!"
"No, Selma, this is lying: That was a well-plotted piece of non-claptrap that never made me want to retch."
The following’s a movie I remember having watched when I was about six years old.
It was some '70s exploitation flick about a long-haired, bearded trucker who had a ladyfriend with short dark hair. The movie ended with the guy crossing an unsafe bridge in his rig, whereupon his truck blew up or blew out or the bridge collapsed or something like that and he was killed. His ladyfriend survived, as she hadn’t been in the truck with him. I recall the last shot of her showing her with some other guys, smiling/laughing, which I found strange, 'cause I thought she’d liked the trucker.
I believe I figured out which movie this is. Convoy.
Anyone know which movie this gif’s from?
I couldn’t care less about the artist. But the art, to be blunt, is overhyped pablum, and I have zero interest in any followups.
SYDNEY SWEENEY:
I need to take a cold shower.
"Don’t be a good neighbour to her. I’ll send you a love letter, straight from my heart, fucker! You know what a love letter is? It’s a bullet from a fucking gun, fucker! You receive a love letter from me, you’re fucked forever! You understand, fuck‽ I’ll send you straight to hell, fucker!"
Stargate SG-1 (Season 2)
Better than Season 1. I’ll go so far as to say it’s almost good, but not quite. Perhaps if I was watching through this series for the first time, I’d be less critical. But I used to be a diehard SG-1 fan; I’ve watched every episode from Seasons 1-6 and multiple episodes from Seasons 7-9. I know that lot of the stuff I loved about Season 2 are either never touched upon again or are taken in directions I don’t care for in subsequent seasons.
EPISODE RATINGS
SEASON RATING
★★★★★★☆☆☆☆
Stargate SG-1 isn’t better than the original film. They’re equally flawed in almost diametrically opposite ways. That’s not to say they aren’t good in their own way or watchable, 'cause they are.
Since rewatching the 1st season and most of the 2nd of SG-1, I’m inclined to say the film is actually better than the series, if only marginally. The production values, the writing, the abhorrent lack of continuity with the film, and the depiction of the US military as this benign/honourable force with only a few bad apples incessantly gets under my skin.
Madine belongs to the same species as this guy.
