Yeah as someone who counts the TV show as one of my favorites I am not looking forward to that and will be pretending that it has not happened.

I have fifteen great seasons of Stargate adventures to watch on home video and I will stick with them thank you very much.

 That's true.  I had to go online to find the text as it was written in Latin when I wanted to get used to it.  Then my computer crashed and I lost all the links I had bookmarked and I can't be bothered to look for them again.  Does that make me unlucky or just lazy?

I will gladly put up with these movies coming out and being hits if it keeps him away from one of my favorite book series of all time.

Forbidden Planet has been one of my favorite movies since I was a kid.  it gave me so many nightmares, I was always scared someone else's bad dreams would show up to kill me.  The Blu Ray looks amazing and has another Roby the Robot movie on it.

Let me explain when I worked at Wal-Mart they were so scared of offending people that we were not allowed to use the word Christmas for any reason while in the store.  I just find it funny that the company that was that scared of making people angry put out that add.

Joking aside that is a movie I may have taken some interest in since it would be so bad it is good. So far all the sequels have been so bad they are painful. As far as I am concerned there is only one Jurassic Park movie.

Editing a user's post so people can not judge them for themselves in context but then complaining about other people finding your post offensive is by it's very definition throwing your weight around.

I cited a historical example of how just because some belongs to a racial group doesn't mean that they have the best interest of that group in their minds or they even like the group. People can't control who they are when they are born. It was a historic example and the fact that it involved Nazis means nothing.  I could make the same point by pointing out that on plantations in the American South certain slaves where trusted to watch over slaves and keep them from escaping, that is why such a large portion of the white population was able to leave and devote themselves full time to the war effort. If we are not allowed to bring historical fact into this then what are we allowed to cite as example and proof of human nature.  If bringing up Nazis or the slave culture of the South for any reason is not allowed then we can also not talk about the evil of those two movements. Do we really want to leaving in that world?  We can not and should not pick and choose what lessons we learn from the past. if we want to be better in the future then we have to study all the facts and listen to all the lessons they can teach us not just about the events but about human nature in general.  If we don't then we are committing the real crime by refusing to honor the dead and learn from them. History is as much about examining your own soul as it is about examining the events of the past.

Unless of course you are admitting that this forum has no rules beyond your own will and you are forcing everyone to agree with you. The Brass Teapot (2012)

Surprisingly fun movie about a teapot that dispenses cash in exchange for pain. Apparently reviews are pretty poor (26% rating on RT per Wiki) but I enjoyed it, even if it was a bit formulaic and predictable. Fun/random supporting roles by Rory from Gilmore Girls, Maeby from Arrested Development, Mike Yanagita from Fargo, and a guy who I swore was Seth Meyers but apparently wasn't. But the most surprising bit of casting was the male lead, Michael Angarano, who it turns out was one of the finalists for little Anakin Skywalker. Just more proof that George made the wrong call. *sigh*

It takes a big man to look beyond himself and enforce the law and if you can't do that then you should at least have the honor to step down and resign from the job.

I didn't find this offensive so much as puzzling.

I had to go into Wal-Mart to get some stuff for Thanksgiving and every TV in the store was showing adds for Wal-Mart's black Friday sales and hosting the adds was a stereotypical loud black man, and I have to ask why?

I mean because the day has the word black in it you have to have black man yelling and using poor grammar????

Is this really how things work in the year 2014?

It wasn't so much offensive as stupid and I am surprised in a day and age the silliest thing can get a company or a person called racist an add like this got past the planning stage.

It's just odd.
