I'm sorry but as someone who has played football I have to say there is no way that ball was deflated by two pounds and he didn't know about it.  He may not have deflated it but he didn't report it when he felt it and he had no problem with profiting from it.  At the very least he should be kept out of the hall of fame and if I had my way he would be banned from the game for life.

I really wish the NFL would take real action on this issue of the type that major league baseball did after the 1919 world series.  I mean it's bad enough that the games are getting long and longer as more and more things are reviewed, but now that cheating seems to be something the league doesn't even bother to punish and a team and a coach is allowed to just get away with it scott free, I have to wonder what the point of watching a "sport" where the outcome is rigged is.

I think I am done with American Football after this.  It's become boring and the outcome isn't down to the skill of the players any more so I couldn't care less at this point.

Yeah it would, if I had a band that is what I would call it.

So he is calling for the Atom instead of dealing with it himself?  Also does he have to specify that it is earth that needs their help?  I mean does The Atom or the JLA protect other planets, oh and sound can't travel through space so I assume that if The Atom can hear Superman he would know he is on Earth. Wouldn't giving the Atom the precise location on earth that needs his help(You know because Earth is a rather big place)be more productive?

This one caption just raises so many questions.  At least it isn't boring like so many recent comic book covers.

Cleveland ownership should had played more hardball with Lebron?

Sorry but if the people writing are breaching basic ethics and that are(As someone who has been to several shrinks and done a ton of research for something I am writing I know what I am talking about here.) I can tell you no one in the field would dare try to to make judgements on someone they have not sat in a room with and asked very pointed questions and if they did they would never make their findings public if they did.  They take the same oath to "Do no harm" that all other doctors do and attacking the person in public and making guesses as to what is wrong with them makes them far less likely to seek help and the doctor in question far more likely to be wrong about what their problems are.

In other words the writer of this piece has breached all ethics in order to write something that will make they themselves famous so of course they will go off the deep end and talk smack about the famous person they are writing about. If they have breached one set of ethics in the name of fame why not all of them.  So I am sorry but I don't trust a word these type of hucksters has to say.

He has also made it clear that he hates all religious people and wants to see any religion he personally finds stupid banned.  Banning things because he, or I or anyone else finds then stupid is a very dangerous road to go down so yes I will mock the idea every time I see it brought up.

Why does he get to dictate what is "over the top and idiotic"?  What makes him so special?

If he does practice the Jewish faith in his own way then how come he is allowed to do that but this player isn't allowed to practice his faith in his own way?  Some people find the Jewish faith over the top and idiotic, so why isn't he banned from practicing it.

The only reason he is saying anything is because he disagrees with this man's faith and wants it banned.

Just remember that while it may start with what you think is 'over the top and idiotic" once that door is opened it can never be closed and you can't complain when they come for you if someone decides that just saying you are Jewish, or Christian, or Hindu, is "over the top and idiotic".

If we start deciding certain people can't speak their minds because we don't like what they have to say or we find it stupid then some day we will all lose our freedom.

I find the idea that someone should be offended by a player giving god credit for something in a game over the top and stupid myself.  He had to go out of his way to hear the player say those words so he was looking for a reason to be offended.

Well i will not waste any more breath on him.  I just think banned people from speaking because we find what they have to say stupid is a very bad and dangerous idea, personally I avoid things that I know will upset me instead of complaining about them and that is what I am choosing to do now by leaving this conversation.

One final thought if anyone should have a problem with religion it is me, I had my life messed up by a cult when i was a kid but I don't call for religion to be banned and I don't even call for the members of this cult to not be allowed to worship in their own way, I just avoid them.  That is how I think these things should be dealt with.  Ultimately every time you complain about something stupid you are just making sure more people hear it.  For instance I would not have even heard about these comments if Frink hadn't complained about it so in the end not only is this sort of thing dangerous in my view but it is also counter productive.

Did you see his postgame interview?  Where he was crying and praising God?  For a silly football game.

Yeah how dare he practice his faith in public, these Christians need to be stamped out and I think I know just the way to do it.  How about we arrest them all, we then fill a football stadium with dangerous wild animals like say lions, and then we force the Christians in to the stadium to be killed by the wild animals, that will teach them.  We could even sell tickets for people to watch the event so it would create jobs and generate taxes for the government, it's a win win.

There's a difference between practicing your faith in public and praising a god for helping you win a football game.

So if this isn't about his faith then I take it you would be just as incensed if he said he wouldn't have won the game with out the support of his gay lover?

You have made it very clear with your posts that you don't think anyone should be allowed to practice any faith.

Hey I think I have found a final solution to the religious people practicing their faith in public question that you will love.  We round them up, put them to work in camps, and then when they can't work any more we send them into chambers filled with gas.  I know this may sound extreme to so people but I think it is worth it so you don't have to risk ever seeing one of them practice their faith in public.  I mean the only other way to get this result would be for you to change the channel while watching Tv and not click on videos of people practicing their faith in public and that is clearly too much to ask so this is the best solution to the problem.

After all these are nothing but stupid religious nut jobs who are not as smart or enlightened as you, they shouldn't even count as members of the human race, so they have no rights and the world will be better off once it is cleansed of their filth and only the pure who think 100% like you are left in the gene pool.

When I was kid if our ball was deflated by a few ounces we could tell so you can't tell me the players didn't know and were not involved.  I don't really see how this could have happened without officials being paid off, so that needs to be investigated too.

IF they don't call off the Superbowl until the investigation is over then I am done with American football because it is clear the whole game is rigged.

Personally I think the owners and couches should be kicked out, the players should be banned for life, and the team it's self should be banned from playing at all next season. That way no one will ever try this a again and if they do the players will report it right away.

The fact the NFL isn't going to do anything to anyone other this and the team is going to be allowed to play in the superbowl proves the whole game is a sham and I don't see any point in watching any more.

I don't watch the games on account of the fact that none of the broadcast networks show NBA games any more, I am not about to read what someone who hasn't had a session with one of the players has to say about him.

By the way making judgements about a person who you have not talked to in person and then going public with them is huge breach of ethics so I am not going to trust what the writer of that piece has to say in the first place.

You got to love the look of horror on Superman's face on that first cover.  I mean it's a robot he could take it in one punch, if he really is so upset why doesn't he do something?!

Bottom line?  Superman is trying to cover up the fact that he wants those people dead and he is letting the robot do his dirty work.

If the website still existed I would say that belongs on Superdickery.

Yeah that part is stupid.  The Batgirl costume worked for me because it had a mask and looked like something someone could put together out of clothes they could buy and it wasn't all that different from her animated series costume, this one not so much.

I like the general idea of making the costumes look like something a real person could make if it is supposed to be something a real person had made, but without a mask what is the point of a costume?

Anyone here know anything about classic cars?
Time

Hey I know nothing about cars and I know the chances are slim that anyone here would know but I need some help.  I am working on this story and I want one of the characters to be driving a car that is cool but tough, I am thinking of something in the 1970s muscle car verity because I like the way they look coming head on, they always make me feel like there is someone behind the wheel who shouldn't be messed with. Here is the problem it needs to have a little bit of space in the back because the character has to shove a bad guy back there and drive off at one point in my story.

If anyone here knows anything about cars and can come up with a make or model that would work it would be a huge help, thanks.

Not sure what the laws are in the rest of the world but here in the UK a lot of poultry meat is injected with salt water to make it appear plumper (and more delicious!) It's turned me right off buying meat from supermarkets.

@DrCrow, my dad had a heart attack last year and his doctors have told him to avoid Potassium (which is apparently in loads of things). Does your dad have to avoid certain things after getting his new heart? Just curious!

Yep he sure does, and potassium is one of them.  Still he is much better off with his new heart but we have gotten really creative wince his heart condition. He also has to watch how much water he drinks in a day, still it could be much worse, the new heart was a god sent.

Of course now the anti rejection drugs have nearly destroyed his kidneys so he he waiting for a transplant there but he is over all i9n much better shape then he was before he got the new heart.

Hope things go well for your dad, I'll be praying for him.

The Marvel Cinematic Universe
Time

I must have missed their names in the credits, well good for marvel for going against the typical Hollywood trends.  I would just like to say again that I did say this is a good show, it has a few scenes that I thought were badly written but I have overlooked worse and it has a problem with creating suspense but that is the same problem every prequel ever made has had so it's nothing that is being done wrong by this show.

Still I find it funny when Hollywood preaches about sexism and yet it is so rare to find woman in power in Hollywood. Yet they preach to people like me who has worked for mostly female bosses and never thought anything of it in fact until this moment when we were talking about it I had never realized that 90% of my bosses have been woman.  I really wish Hollywood would get with the times and employ more woman as writers and producers.

Good for Marvel bucking the trend.

Oh but missing the names bring me to another trend I hate in modern Tv, the fact that the credits are run over the first ten minutes of the show.  I tend to miss them because I am paying attention to what is happening onscreen and not to the tiny text at the bottom. I miss the days when the credits would be run at the end of the show and we were given a chance to read the names of the people who worked on the show.

Sorry this was my screw up, good for Marvel i shouldn't have judged them so harshly.

Anyone else miss grit in movies and TV shows?
Time

I said they were doing a better job.  She isn't that stick figure unrealistic thin that you see 99% of the time these days and I can at least suspend my disbelief with her.

Also when it comes to grit I am stating what I personally prefer and like so yes for me the look of film and having sets and people that look more real world does make something better because I am more invested so I do tend to like old movies and tv shows better.  if that makes me a bad person and an idiot who needs to have a knife put in his throat so he is removed from the gene pool then so be it. I am the most evil thing that has ever existed and I need to kill myself to cleanse the human race of my filth, I can't be anything other then what I am.
