ROUND 4 - now 22 movies!!! The Ritty's Star Wars Saga (Released)

Thanks again to those that requested them, hopefully I get something I can use back from any of you. Thank you for just taking the time

Well, being 1 of the 4 people you mentioned who requested to see your edits, and seeing how I’ve already supplied feedback in the past via PM’s, I’ll continue to keep my word.

I just started watching TPM. Again, I like the idea of a different language for Jar Jar, but his voice seems to go back and forth in pitch. I believe you used the US version for his noises and other short phrases. The levels of the hindi? track also are pretty loud compared to the rest. I point this out as I’m having a hard time finding a good level to watch this at.

I don’t need nerd snobbery lol I need someone who’s tired of watching crap. Again, I haven’t seen any other edits and I don’t care too because I MADE MY OWN. I have no need. IMO there’s nothing major lacking in mine but I’m sure some other maybe had better cuts or ideas for cuts etc…but a polished turd is STILL a turd lol Unless anyone says this guy did a such and such a better way - I’ll check THAT out but…I’m on a different side of the fence.

No offense, but it sounds like this edit was made in a conceptual vacuum. Lots of us have already made our own versions of these films. We watch yours and others to gain new perspectives and approaches to editing. It isn’t nerd snobbery that is being offered, it’s sincere constructive criticism. My own edits aren’t perfect, but they’ve been able to rise above what I thought I could produce because I kept an open mind towards the comments, suggestions and challenges of others to change my approach. One of the reasons why so many people fanedit the prequels is because George Lucas didn’t have a check and balance when making the films. He simply said, I made my own, I have no need. IMO there’s nothing major lacking in mine. I’ll most likely only glance through your edits because you don’t seem to care about getting feedback and improving your skills and abilities. I’m intrigued by your use of other languages for voices. It’s also odd that you seem to refer to your edit as a turd. Not very inviting…anyway, I glance through the edits again.

Rise of the Rebellion: A Rogue One Edit (Released)
Time

The crawl was purposefully Empire centric. This is their reign of terror and so I wanted to focus on that. This isn’t supposed to be an uplifting crawl, imho. It’s supposed to show the power of the Empire and why the Rebellion has to finally unite and rise up in open warfare. If they don’t, the Empire will ensure galactic Order. The clone wars have been over for nearly two decades, so I didn’t want to reference them as they have no connection to this story.

As for the death trooper, I didn’t touch that scene, so that one is on the official editor 😉

I appreciate the feedback!

Rise of the Rebellion: A Rogue One Edit (Released)
Time

Thanks jarbear! I appreciate the feedback 😃 I was also very leery about removing Cassian’s intro for the same reasons. I even went as far as making the stormtrooper be the one to shoot the informant. Moe_Syzlack kept up the challenge and after implementing it I think it creates a better film, as you point out. Thanks to everyone who has supported this project in anyway, shape or form 😃

It was all there just too much cgi, too many wooden takes, bad dialogue - stuff that severley hindered both jake lloyd and hayden christiensen(?)'s performances. They’re both GREAT - he just speilberged it up with bad kiddie stuff (in TPM) and making Anakin a whiney … in AOTC lol (“it’s all obi wan’s fault! blah blah whine whine…”). I don’t know why he made the choices he did

Sorry you just lost me. Those were terrible performances, imho. Hayden Christensen has yet to show a superb acting performance (Jumper…shudders). And blaming Spielberg for Lucas’s blunders is dumbfounding to me. Spielberg’s quality was only tarnished when he allowed Lucas too much control (Temple of Doom, Crystal Skull).

Mac's Wishlist Of Ideas/Suggestions For Improving RETURN OF THE JEDI
Time

I started to read, then I just scrolled. How long did that take to write. I’ll honestly never read it due to its length.

I just want to see:

 1. More ships in the space battle scene
 2. Luke’s original blue lightsaber (probably won’t happen)
 3. Removal of the lightsaber shadows that are seen from the top view right before Vader and Luke get to the bridge and Vader loses his hand.

Rise of the Rebellion: A Rogue One Edit (Released)
Time

This was released last week over at fanediting.org

https://ifdb.fanedit.org/star-wars-rise-of-the-rebellion-a-rogue-one-edit/

I should also mention that there are now two versions of the edit. The “No Moe Intro” version implements Moe_Syzlack’s requests to totally remove Cassian and Bodhi from the beginning of the film.

STAR WARS: EP V "REVISITED EDITION"ADYWAN - 12GB 1080p MP4 VERSION AVAILABLE NOW
Time

Is anyone noticing some odd overlaid imagery at 1:45:17? It looks like a mask transparency was left visible during the scene. Is this just me?
I loved the additions to the battle at Hoth. Especially the AT-ST that gets shot and staggers backwards and the AT-ST that gets smashed by the AT-AT falling. Great work Adywan!
