Joe Walsh is amazing!

I am not taking any risks.
Oh, really? I think almost every post you’ve made this page was risky.
I said there were some post-SW gems (Alien and Blade Runner were the specific films that came to my mind 😄).
The only bad thing Star Wars has ever caused is that it turns reasonable and intelligent adults into self important, whiny, hypocritical and immature people
Incorrect. The popularity of Star Wars pretty much ruined the science-fiction genre while simultaneously influencing other good things. You have some post-SW gems of sci-fi wonder, but a great deal of stuff that came after SW was just crap cashing in on the popularity of space fighters and lasers.
I think as long as ships look cool and aren’t flying cubes it doesn’t matter much.
I take it you don’t like the Borg 😉.
^I edited just as you posted 😄.
EDIT: And as for the practicality of SW ships, I’ve never liked the Falcon’s layout/design either. The cockpit hanging off of one side always seemed like a major design flaw to me.
I didn’t put that much thought into it. It’s just an obvious observation and comparison.

Besides, these are new Tie Fighters. So for them to have certain design changes made by the First Order is kind of to be expected, I would think.
Well, I still stand by my turret complaint, because it feels like they’re developing backwards.
As in, early fighter planes were generally biplanes with two seats and a turret on the back (the second seat being for the gunner). This is comparable to the TIE in TFA.
Later, to solve certain problems as well as eliminate the need for two men in the plane, a new system was developed for the guns. Machine guns were placed in the front, facing forward, and a timing mechanism was created to allow the guns to fire between turns of the propeller. This is comparable to the original TIE design.
We also have people complaining about TIE Fighters having two seats…
I remember being a part of that conversation, so for the record, I didn’t complain about the two seats, but rather that I thought the turret addition was kind of dumb; though, removing the turret would also eliminate the necessity of the second seat 😄. (Not as to say you were thinking of me, but I just thought I’d mention the other half of the argument)
It had nothing to do with the BD. This was before that was out. He said that the film wasn’t being shown in English in his country, so he downloaded a cam so he could watch it at home with English audio. As in, rather than going to the cinema and watching the film legally (or waiting till a BD release happened to watch it), he obtained a pirate copy. That’s why Frink started calling him a pirate.
Yeah, there is some nasty aliasing (it bothered me too 😄). But you should try and track down a DVD DL, because I would assume that it would solve your problems.
Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom (1984) – B
Just watched it at the cinema today, and the poor blue screen/matte effects didn’t bother me nearly as much as they did when I was younger (which is kind of weird, actually). Anyway, I like this film, but I do have some small problems with it.
Next week: The Last Crusade 😄
Why would you put SD video that amounts to 7-ish GB on a BD? That’s a waste of hardware. Also, a DVD DL is easier to obtain and cheaper than a BD, and not everybody has a BD burner.
^That idea has actually entered my mind in the past (after frequent playing of Half-Life). I was doing something (don’t remember what), and then I thought: Oh crap, better reload my quicksave. Then I realized I was in real life.
I am Iron Man.
Magnum Opus - Kansas
Well, if we do try to collaborate a purchase, I could only pitch in 10 bucks, but I guess everything helps with this kind of thing.
It’ll be unfortunate if this print goes. The bid just had to go up, didn’t it! 😉
Like I said when the print was first mentioned, these are the times I wish I had money to spend. 😄
In case anyone was planning on doing something with this print, the auction ends in 21 hours. Bid has gone up to $1500.
It’s 480p. Made from the Director’s Edition DVD release.
Disciple - The Doobie Brothers
CATS RULE!
Truth! I’ve always been a cat person. I even collected cat stuffed animals when I was younger.
…and when it is are you going to be selling this on ebay or amazon?
Fan projects cannot be sold for profit.
Consider this, if I said my car can drive 200mph vs. my car can drive 200 flip florps, which is more impressive?)
That comparison makes absolutely no sense.
Exactly!
No, that’s not what I meant. I wasn’t saying that mph vs. flip florps made no sense (it doesn’t, but that’s beside the point), I was saying that comparing Han’s hypothetical use of technobabble to your flip florp situation doesn’t make sense.
