I’ve always hated the “cauterized wounds” rule.
I’ve always hated the “cauterized wounds” rule.
@Possessed: The mispelling of ‘semi-specialization’ instead of the correct spelling that would be ‘semi-specialisation’ in the case of my releases does not suggest much respect on your part. Neither does previous comments of ‘jaundiced fleshtones’ about my semi-specialised releases that i’ve seen from you in other threads.
So… if someone says something that you find disrespectful, you tell them that what they said came off the wrong way. Then, someone states their opinion, and makes a point to show respect while also making their point, you then claim that they weren’t being respectful because they made a spelling mistake!!!
The way you are responding to people’s honest and respectful feedback/opinions is urging me to lose my respect for you.
That said, assuming you’re not trolling, which I think you are…
Gore…
Yeah, Return of the Jedi was really missing the rancor’s head bursting like a melon when the gate landed on it.
I was talking about stuff like this:
This is exactly what should have happened in the ROTJ skiff/sail barge battle.
Why does a Japanese animation style equal “angsty teens”?
That dreadful CGI was quite dreadful, and is the one reason overall that I have no interest in seeing Rebels, after having suffered through the Clone Wars crap fest.
“Song From MASH (Suicide Is Painless)”
[…]It goes without saying that suicide isn’t painless. Even if you are lucky enough to do it in a manner which doesn’t hurt yourself and it can go wrong so easily, the people left behind are left with a lot a pain to deal with so… thanks lyrics.
I think the point is that suicide would be painless in comparison to the pain of the war. The song was also written to be comical (in context), and it does it’s job well; it just happens to be a little deeper underneath the scene.
In case you don’t know, this is from a series of really funny french commercials. Check it out: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XYz3sl0LEA4
My favourite one is the hospital room. 😄
I believe My dad and his siblings left home at 18. I doubt I’ll leave before I’m finished with college, unless circumstances demand it (like getting married or something).
By the way, this is what made me decide to watch The Fantastic '94 today.
Adulthood is intimidating. I’m planning on finally getting a part-time job this summer, and I’m not sure I’ll be prepared to carry a schedule, haha. 😄
There are two uploads of the whole thing on youtube (I just watched the widescreen one), and the spleen has a custom DVD set that I think I’m going to grab sometime. It’s titled: The Fantastic Four (Ultimate Edition)
^Haven’t seen it yet. All I know is that the '94 film is better than the '05 film, and is most likely better than Fant4stic (just based on what I’ve heard and the little clips I’ve seen)
The Fantastic Four (1994) – C
This film is so odd. It’s coherent, and I actually really liked it. Honestly, I think the only thing wrong with it was how low a budget it was forced under. I definitely recommend giving it a watch if you like comic books/comic book movies.
Generations sucks BIG-TIME.
First Contact just isn’t that great. I actually used to think it was fantastic when I was younger, but it doesn’t do much for me now, outside of nostalgia.
I’m not entirely sure what you hate so much about Star Trek III, though. If it’s any worse than GQ, it’s only by a minuscule difference. Now that I think of it, ST IV should probably be in the worse.
So here we go…
ST TMP
ST II
ST III
ST VI
ST IV
ST V
ST Gen.
ST FC
ST Ins.
ST Nem.
ST ('09)
ST ID

Bill and Ted’s Bogus Journey (1991)
Just saw that this is available on Netflix streaming in HD in the US.
Didn’t look like real HD to me. Is it officially listed as such?
Exaggeration. Which the following sentence even eludes to. You don’t have to be a genius to use such a word.
Yeah, he wasn’t exaggerating. If the armor on his shoulder was obliterated in that manner, whatever did that should have also done the same to the arm underneath.
If he’s a team account, they’d better burn them on a desk. 😉

Better than Galaxy Quest:
ST V
Wait, didn’t you give The Final Frontier a C+ and Galaxy Quest an A?
This is why I said that debatable part. I find that they take their place as better Star Trek films (because GQ isn’t actual ST continuity), so I put them in the top list. Ideally I probably should have put ST V in the worse (I was going to at first), but I thought keeping in the top list made it an even half, so whatever. Or I could have made it “greater than or equal to”.
Never mind the lunacy that First Contact isn’t better.
No lunacy here.
His shoulder should be torn to pieces in that picture.
Hyperbole.
Maybe his shoulder would be scraped up but if the armor were anywhere near effective he we would be fine.
HA!
[THE TRUTH]
Galaxy Quest (1999) – A
Love it. Better than half of the real Star Trek films.
It’s good, but lets not lose our heads here.

This would be half. And where ST IV and V rank here are very debatable, so GQ could very well be better than over half of the ST films.
All just opinions though…
Well, it’s pretty much still the same place. Just a different domain. That’s why I didn’t type the “.net”.
Let’s wait until we hear from the members that worked on it. The only reason it annoys me is because I’d like us to build a stronger base with Spleen and Blu when it comes to 35mm - if we support them they support us.
Could someone PM me to explain what “Blu” is, in this context?
Blu-Torrents.
You’re not the same when your sad…
When his sad… does what? WHAT’S GOING TO HAPPEN TO HIS SAD!!!
