Dom didn’t nail it though. You have to go to the supermarket to buy a frozen pizza and then you have to take it home and cook it. The same applies at Murphy’s. The biggest difference is that you have to wait 60 seconds for them to build your pizza in front of you. It’s like they’re almost the same, but one actually tastes good.
I think it’s a great Batman movie that is well directed by Tim Burton and co-stars the Joker.
My opinion is that the joke is funny, not that the film is bad. I don’t have an opinion of the film, though I do think the twelve year shoot is inherently pretentious if it isn’t good.

It’s a take out pizza place. You go there and order a pizza, they build it out of fresh (not frozen) ingredients and then you take it home to bake in your home oven. It’s honestly not inconvenient at all.
Frink, your frozen comparison has no legs. Fresh take n bake is a lot better than even the best tasting frozen stuff (probably Red Baron, though I’m sure you’ll inevitably disagree about that too).

I’m joking about the pretention that someone wasting 12 years to shoot a movie inherently makes it good, which was a joke among people who actually didn’t like it after watching (can you tell I’m an RLM fan?). I haven’t seen it and I have no interest in it beyond mild curiousity.

They created that joke after their original review and also ran it into the ground in their unfunny and over-the-top follow up video that is similar in humor-style to the Ghostbusters remake. They gave the film credit for being an interesting experiment in their initial review. It’s obnoxious because it’s not funny. At all. It’s also obnoxious because it’s just an example of the cult-worship that I wish RLM didn’t have because they’re a great channel, but the fans’ worship of them annoys me. I think it annoys them too based on some little comments they’ve made.
They’ve mentioned the annoyance of youtube comments overusing the “is Susan replacing Jay?” joke, but I guess I don’t remember them alluding to much else. And my brain just mashed the follow-up video and the review together, so I apologize for my faulty statement. And they have referenced that joke after that, such as “it took 12 days to make” or something like that in a Best of the Worst episode.
And I don’t think the fact that I’m younger than you or that you’ve watched their material for a longer time than me is relevant to this conversation.

But some more than others. I once again point to how Superman, although made 10 years earlier, ends up being much more timeless.
I mean, you may not be wrong, but you can’t tell me that Superman doesn’t ooze the seventies at some moments as well.

The fact that the author said he would rather have Pizza Hut is almost proof that he’s just plain wrong. Pizza Hut is disgusting. Little Caesar’s is a lot better than that crap. Though maybe my memory of Pizza Hut circa five years ago is faulty.
Anyway, what Ray said. I’ve never encountered a pizza that wasn’t cooked to near perfection outside of my own error (like not hearing the timer and forgetting to check the oven). The take ‘n’ bake system is actually great because the customer is able to bake the pizza however well done they want it, instead of getting a half burnt pizza with pieces that tear eachother in half because they weren’t cut properly from a fast food chain.

And it’s better than average. It’s very good. It’s great. It’s not “best pizza on the planet” but I haven’t had enough different pizzas to even have an opinion on that. Maybe it’s Pizza Planet.
Well, they are all children, so I’m inclined to suspend my disbelief when a bunch of fictional talking dinosaur children say some silly things. I love the dialogue exchanges in the film. There’s a lot of character. If they didn’t talk, the film would not be interesting, there would be no characters, and it wouldn’t even have a plot. You’ve successfully removed everything that makes The Land Before Time The Land Before Time when making it “better.”
As far as my judgment goes C+ isn’t particularly good either. It’s just kind of okay, or at least adequate. Land Before Time is at least worth a solid A-.
