Opinion: The Biggest Missed Opportunity in Star Wars History...
Time

Yeah, just try and prove you are honest.

Okay.

Frankly (or should I say 'frinkly'?), the spelling and grammar of most people on the interwebz is quite bad. I'm tired of having to read things 10 times to figure out what the fudge someone said...and then sometimes coming to the conclusion that I don't care about what they wrote.

Is that honest enough?

:D

What is so funny?

You miss-spelled Matt Damon, Ryan Gosling, and Lily Collins.

You should have used Portrayed, not Portraited.

Your grammer is questionable.

And, Matt Damon looks goofy in that picture.

Although, Donald Sutherland as Obi-Wan Kenobi is an interesting idea.

Im sorry i didn't know that you were here to judge me for my grammer. I only wanted to show some interest to the reboot ideas.

Don't forget about the spelling. I'm judging that, too.

But really, I think my "humor" missed the mark...by a wide margin.

:(

AND then, just to piss off everyone, they didn't show the one thing... or should I say the three things... everyone wanted to see in their full naked goodness.

At least I didn't have to pay $12 to watch it. Yay to teh interwebz!

O_o Uh...all three were there at the midnight premiere.

Then I guess I must have blinked. or something, 'cause I didn't see 'em.

Total Recall (2012)

Simple Formula: Total Recall (1990) + Blade Runner + I Robot = Lots of Confusing Action

They took a bunch of action scenes, lots of special effects, two ass-kicking chicks, and squashed them all together. AND then, just to piss off everyone, they didn't show the one thing... or should I say the three things... everyone wanted to see in their full naked goodness.

At least I didn't have to pay $12 to watch it. Yay to teh interwebz!

What Brand Blu ray player should I get?

I got a Sony a couple of years ago for under a hundred and it is pretty damn good. I don't have it hooked up to the internet, but I know someone has the same player as me and theirs is, and it's got some cool capabilities. I don't really know what else to say except it's quick, and when I turn it on it turns on my TV too. I don't know how it does that.

My Samsung TV & player do can do that. It's done through the HDMI cable...they talk to each other. The BR turns off if I turn the TV off, too.

It's soo cool. :)

Do you (can you?!) plan to release a non-cleaned-up scaled-down version? It'd be very useful for those of us who'd like to play with the raw scans, but can't afford to send you 15-20TB worth of hard-drives.

What resizing algorithm do you plan to use to scale-down the images?

What you're doing is amazing -- thanks!

there are plans for the raw image data to be released. but we haven't finalized it yet, because we are adding more capture data, and the size of it is around 6-8 T.

It's going to be hard to figure out how to do shipping and things for. i don't have highspeed connections, so putting it up on usenet is out of the questions, and it's way to much data to put on disks. so unless someone can come up with a good plan, it's going to be very tricky.

we never had to deal with this amount of data before.

I would be happy enough with an Xvid version, just to enjoy the vintage look of the scratches/hair/dirt/etc..
