Just wondering...have any of you ever met personally?

It's 2005 now, y'know... how's that hunt for Bin Laden coming along?

They overtook the white house, the courts, brainwashed over half the country, started a war, and now wish to conquer the world!
A friend of mine says that he just got a DVD of a new edit of Star Wars from some dealer through the mail. He says it’s longer and it has different music and was edited by different people. He says that he wasn’t too happy with it because the editor (who calls himself John Jympson) put in a lot of extraneous scenes that slow the plot down. It was also irritating because the whole thing was in black-and-white; I told him he paid too much for it.
Apparently the quality is awful to begin with. However, I thought some of you fan-edit collectors might be interested because this is a lot longer than the original version and it has some new scenes. Han kisses someone else in this version, the end battle is all messed up, they put the original “furry” Jabba back in (probably from an SE documentary), Darth Vader’s voice is weird, and all the special effects look like cartoons (he says the lasers look like little arrows). Some edit! I’d rather watch the 2004 DVD’s (and that’s saying a lot).
But it has got some deleted scenes.

So…let’s say that there’s a particular movie I was thinking about downloading (it’s about a guy that abuses his wife because he thinks that she betrayed him). I’m thinking about downloading it, but I’ve heard that there are 2 versions- a workprint version never released theatrically, and the theatrical version with no timer on the top of the picture.
Is there any difference whatsoever in the workprint version that would warrant a download? Visually, deleted scene-wise, incomplete FX-wise, music-wise, overall sound mix-wise; does anyone know whether there is more than one version of this “particular movie” at this point?
