STAR WARS: EP V &quot;REVISITED EDITION&quot;<strong>ADYWAN</strong> - <strong>12GB 1080p MP4 VERSION AVAILABLE NOW</strong>

Sorry to have to school you Akwat Kbrana..... but Rouge 2 is Zev played by Christopher Malcom and Rouge 3 is Wedge played by Denis Lawson. Zev finds Han and Luke. Wedge doesn't show up until the battle (unless he's somewhere in the crowd of Leia's briefing).  Zev is killed while setting up for the harpoon run.  This would also help with the fact that Wedge turns up in ROTJ.  Maybe that will help alleviate your confusion.  Some of us old timers know this shit too well.  Can anybody else quote all 3 movies verbatum including alien language and droid beeps and noises and every other sound made?  Its sort of sick how well I and I'm sure some of you know these movies.  But I digress....

There's a lot of confusion on which one John Ratsenburger is too but I don't want to get into that argument because I can't prove which is which even though I know one is John and the other isn't. I've had virtual fights about that before and lost since I can't prove it.

Here's Zev (Rouge 2)

This looks like digital photography rather than the film stock on which Jedi was shot. It looks like it's unused stuff for the SEs. Perhaps it's a fanfilm, Game Sourcebook image, or something created for the CCG.

Sorry mate but that's the real deal. Go to http://www.starwarz.com/tbone and look through his cutscenes. Tbone has been around a long long time and I trust him and his site. This is a real pic of the scene. I saw this first about 10 years ago. Its been in my archives ever since.

ok this is more ROTJ related, but was just surfing on wookiepedia and i found this:

http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Scenes_cut_from_Star_Wars

"Endor Battle - General Crix Madine was to have scenes aboard a Mon Calamari ship during the final battle. These scenes were filmed. Actor Dermot Crowley claims to have spent a few extra days filming in a moving chair shouting things such as "Fire!". There are cut shots of rebel gunners aboard the Millennium Falcon. It was rumored that the B-Wing fighters would be given more to do during the battle in the Special Editions. These scenes have apparently been held back for a future release."

anyone know what evil uncle george is plotting?

in the event of released secret footage of any of these films, would ady ever consider a star wars re-revisited?

is george actually palpatine?

Here's some great pictures dipicting the scenes that ben_danger was talking about....for those not in the know.

Thanks for all the info doubleofive.  I've been updating myself on all the Trek Remastered and it comes at the perfect time.  I haven't seen the original series since 1994 when my local library had them all for free to check out.  I think 14 years later it might be time to give them a new look with the new movie coming out and a fresh set of eyes that can appreciate what the original was without being too cynical.  This new flick is actually the 1st time I've been excited about a Trek movie since Generations and that was sort of a let down.  I've always had a small issue with "It was......fun".   Don't know why but that whole scene just never did it for me.  But Kirk getting killed by a Douchebag instead of in REAL battle.....

I need to stop.  Wrong thread, I know.

Was that Leia???  The one coming down the ramp with R2 and the one sitting next to Bail Organa.  If so, that is the only reason I'd want to play this ridiculous game.  However, I can always watch the cut scenes later on Youtube.  Anybody else notice how plain awful Vader sounds?  Geez, I've heard much better in other games.  But seriously, WAS that Leia???

Well, besides the incident with Alderaan, we never see the "oppression" of the Empire. We just know they're bad because of blowing up a planet but besides fighting the Rebellion (and eliminating the Jedi in the PT), what is actually shown about how the Empire actually treats the populace? Everyone cheers at the end of the saga and that shows that the galaxy thinks its a good thing that the Emperor is finished. Everyone runs around screaming when they hear that the Empire has taken control of Cloud City, so that shows that they are very very afraid of the implications of an Imperial occupation. It reminds me of how afraid the denizens of Mos Eisley were when the few troops were moving down the alleyways. So, I'm all for blowing up a few fleeing ships. Shows that they don't F around. Anything to make the Empire more menacing is okay in my book. When I think of how the PT and the Clone Wars makes the stormtroopers so badass, its disappointing to see how inept they become in the OT. I'd like to feel a little afraid for our main heroes and others like we do aboard the Tantive IV. When they blew through that door and started mowing the Alderaanian guard to shreds, you could feel that these folks were about to get slaughtered. But at Hoth, you feel the menace from the walkers but when the snowtroopers come in they get clobbered by one little gun from the Falcon (that seems to be on automatic).

So, my two cents is, the more menace felt from the Empire, the better. But, if people are so against it, at least have a few cloud cars pulled over by a TIE fighter and show him writing the pilot a speeding ticket.

I wrote the above a few weeks ago and now I found a picture that totally captures that feel (found it while looking for Cloud City mattes).  Some image like this would totally ROCK in the context above.

Thanks with all the help in finding the pics guys. Hopefully some great shots of the original models will surface somewhere. If not then i may have a solution. I have had a thought (thanks to darth solo for sending me a pic that inspired me). If i can't get any suitable pics of the generator or the bespin buildings then i could probably build my own models to use. This way i will have as many angles to work with as possible. It will slow work on ESB:R down a bit while i build them, but it could be a great alternative which would allow me a lot of freedom.

I'm also back to where i was before i installed the quad core. All the shots are now in 720p, so back to work on the rest of it now.

This isn't exactly what you asked for but maybe it can come in handy. Its the only clean matte of Bespin I could find.

It seems a little different (in coloration) from the image used for the SW Card Game:

I can't see the first pic. It says that I don't have permission to access that file.

Same here... Have permission, I do not. However, I used my noggin and got it anyway. Here's the pic from your first link.... I just noticed that the one on the far left isn't symetrical with the other 3.

Ady, I looked for a model of the generator on Hoth but couldnt find anything that good. All I could find was a lego model of the generator. I found some cross sections of Echo base and the Ion canon, maybe someone has the actual book and knows if theres a cross section of the generator?

Also, if I remember correctly you use Adobe After Effects to correct light sabers. Im not sure if you ever heard of this plugin from Videocopolit (another forum member recommended it to me) so I messed around with it and I thought it may be useful, I just thought it may help out. (If you would like to try it I think you just click on "Project" and it automatically downloads the plugin)

I'm no Lucas Apologist but I never forget that the man DID give us Star Wars.  Just remember that when we bash him.  I hate what's been done with the prequels as much as the next guy but still watch them more than all other films (except for the OT of course).  Why?  Because its Star Wars.  Good or Bad, anything from that universe is better than just about any other.  Its tweaking that the PT needs.  I've been cutting and rearranging my own AOTC edit for weeks now and I'm pretty amazed at how much good there is in that movie.  When I tweak it, I give the PT what it desperately needs.... a diehard fan's input.  When poor editing choices and lazy dialogue are polished, the story is not bad at all.  I'm doing the movies in this order 2, 3, 1 because Ep. 1 needs the most work and the most thought and already has the most fan edits out there.  Ep. 3 needs the least amount of work so it will be a good buffer.  When I'm done, this will be the prequels I always wanted.  Just like Ady, these are for me and when I present them to you guys, I hope you like them but if not... well, I do, and that's my ultimate goal.  They're great practice movies since I'm about to start my editing classes at school, but I want my son to have GREAT prequels the way I had a great OT growing up.

Never forget that we'd all be Trekkies without George Lucas...... God that leaves a bad taste in my mouth ;(

Yeah well, that's an argument I don't buy.  That's the same argument that got us this....

instead of this.....

I guess those 30 years were rough on Yoda.  After all, I'm sure 30 years makes a HUGE difference when you're at the end of a 900 year lifespan.  Same goes for the twenty years on Palpatine.  After his unfortunate incident with Windu, it left him grey and plastic looking.  Good thing after 20 years he looks less like plastic and got a tad bit of fleshtones, even if they were very pale tones at least they looked human.  And its a good thing that radioactive glow of his pupils died down a little.  Yep, nothing like 20 years to make such a huge difference on scar tissue.  Oh, and while we're at it, its a good thing that Chewbacca looks so completely different at 180 years old than what he does at 200 because that would totally screw up the consistency of the original 3 films.  Its a good thing they care about the details because otherwise some dude would have to come around in a few years and fix all those "not glaringly obvious" things that they didn't screw up.  Yep.  Good thing.

I mean really.... aren't these people supposed to be professionals? When you put these images side by side like this it just seems pathetic. How hard is it to have it at least look somewhat decent???? If I were to produce my own special effects heavy movie, I'd go to WETA. Thoses guys care a ton about detail.

Well, its a nice splice and since you want to go back to the original dialogue I guess it will have to do.  Personally, I never liked the whole scene since it creates more questions than it answers, especially with the old dialogue.  I still think you should reconsider other avenues but it seems you've made up your mind.  There ARE ways to make it fit into the entire story and still make it make sense.  The whole debate is a which came first "vader's knowledge or the Emperor's knowledge" of Luke's existence and heritage and who's telling who what.  Keeping the lines the way they were makes it that both know of his existence and the Emperor is just now realizing Luke as a threat so he elevates the threat from yellow to red.  The way Clive Reville said it, it seemed that he was expecting Vader's answer and was pleased with his response.  Now, with Ian's delivery "Yes. Yes." sounds like he just got some great idea from Vader.  I don't buy it.  No matter how much we like Vader's character, he is still a puppet on a string.  He is scheming behind Palpy's back, but he is still his bitch.  Hell, even Tarkin slapped him around.

I agree with most things so far on this edit of yours but my two cents are that this is a mistake.  The lines shouldn't stay as they are originally or 2004 DVD's.  They should be reworked along the lines of MusicMan's idea.  It never made sense, and in 2004 it was a poor attempt to make it do so.

I vote no.

I wonder how he learned Luke's Full name... I don't remember it being mentioned in ANH... in fact... save for about 10 seconds of Leia screaming "Luke it's too late!" as he kicked some old man clothes on the floor, he never heard the boys name lol...

Leia: "Aren't you a little short for a stormtrooper?"

Luke: "Huh? Oh the uniform! I'm Luke Skywalker. I'm here to rescue you."

Now that the old Emperor dialogue has been changed, this is the only time you hear his entire name in the whole trilogy.

And I think that he'd be pretty famous after destroying the Death Star.  In a cut scene, Red Leader actually says that he knew his father.  The name Skywalker is pretty famous from the Clone Wars and after destroying the Death Star,  Luke's name as the son of Anakin Skywalker, hero of the Clone Wars, must have resonated throughout the galaxy.  It's hard to remember that these characters aren't in a bubble that we the fans of the movies are.

that sucks that you're putting it on hold. I don't see the point in waiting for a new processor but its not my work so I don't criticize you. I think what you did before is great so why put it off??? I guess I can find a new forum to geek in for a few months. Anyway, this "Revisit" isn't as exciting as ANH:R since almost nothing really "needs" fixing. Everything that is to be fixed is really only super minor details, unlike ANH which needed to be updated and adjusted to fit in with the rest of the saga. I guess we'll just have to bide our time. I'm working on AOTC myself since that seems to have the potential for being a great movie if properly trimmed. I did a test edit of the Dooku saber fights and I realize just how time consuming this kind of work is. If only I had the special effects skills of you Adywan. I have the artistic eye but lack the technical know how. I guess I'll be spending my time obsessing over my own edit for the next 6 months instead of obsessing over yours.

May the Schwartz Be With You

How do you guys pronounce "Executor"?  I like to say it where it sounds like "x-eck-cute-er" "Mr. Jones is the 'executor' of the estate".  But sometimes I've heard it where it sounds like "x-uh-cute-er".  "The man who pulled the switch on the electric chair is the executer" (even though the true word would be 'executioner'.
