End of SE ROTJ...

Lucas claims he had written most of the OOT and the backstory before filming Episode IV. But everything he has done after that proofs that this wasn't the case.

I imagine that he wrote some but not to the extent he makes it out to be. And i think he changed his backstory after Star Wars got popular.

Funny stuff, and some interesting details.

That being said, I can't believe he missed the gaffe in ROTJ, where Luke's lightsaber is behind Vader's: http://www.dmeb.net/speb/foryoureyes/Emperor31.jpg

Huh, but Luke strikes from right to left (more or less) so it should be behind Vader's.

But Vader blocked Luke's saber is its logical that Vader' saber should be behind Luke' saber.

Jocasta Nu from starwars.com had this to say:

"Although it may appear that Luke's lightsaber blade is behind Vader's, that is actually not the case. Remember that the Sith prefer to use synthetic crystals in the construction of their lightsabers. These synthetic crystals produce lightsaber blades that are red in color and are far more powerful than the blades produced by the natural crystals preferred by the jedi. What you are seeing here is Vader's red saber disrupting the power matrix of Luke's saber, effectively "breaking" Luke's green blade. This momentarily causes the illusion that Vader's lightsaber is in front of Luke's."

(Okay. I made that up. )

hahahahahahahahahahaha

Lol, your thoughts betray you!

I once bought a dvd and when I came home I found I already had it on the shelf...

We now have a much more dangerous looking fall for Padme (out of the gunship), a close-up of Boba-Fett's eyes as he watches his father's murder (the guy looks just like him), a fabulous and critical shot for the dream sequence coming in Ep. III, and several great battle shots for Geonosis, including one complete with the back view of the two pilots. The style of the shots is 100% Star Wars.

No, because this would probably take too long to set up and explain. I only have a couple lines of dialogue to set up the new character. Would there be a storytelling advantage in this? (besides the fact that it was in the original script for ROTJ). If so, I'd love your ideas on this

I was only wondering because it makes the end of ROTS make more sense because then your like ok Obi-wan brought the kid to his brother instead of what? wait? why did he jsut drop them off to someone he never met.

-Confession and Rejection
-Arrival at Coruscant
-Coruscant nights
-The Funeral of Shmi
-Chat with Palpatine.
-Garage Scene

The Uncle Owen dialogue should be on the way as well. And the dialogue for Lama-Su is still being reworked a bit, but I’ll let “Nanner Split” know when the lines are all set.

-TM

P.S.: As a kind of neat side note, I was able to augment the dream (and not have to use the same few seconds of footage flipped and flipped and recolored in every way possible), using a couple excellent close-ups of Tuskens taken from the old ’77 “Making of Star Wars” documentary. Who would have thought that film would be useful in an edit?

Original Trilogy DVD my ideas

I actually played around with that scene and believe me, it would take a lot of work to get it to look good. Removing the orange isn't too tough, but removing the same amount of orange from frame to frame is hard. It would look like the ground keeps changing shades of brown underneath the car, which, to me, would be more distracting than the orange blob.

It's not impossible, but such an investment in time will have to wait until the future.

Its even to hard for the amazing X0 team

I know that you guys want to somehow put the Death Star 2 in ESB. Well what if you take the DS from ROTS and flip it sideways and flip it upside down that way its not as recognizable and jsut paint it into endor footage form ROTJ but havethe endor footage fliped it sideways that way once again its not that recognizable. And will the name Return of the Jedi be changed to Revenge of the Jedi??

Thriller, yes. Ghosts, yes. But Moonwalker is available regardless of region, so creating an edit of that just because it's not available where you live, smacks of piracy really. A multi-region DVD player costs pennies nowadays.

I would make transfer of Thiller if one i had the laserdisc and two i had a player. And ghosts would be good to preserve. Maybe a doulbe feature on DVD, the maing of Thriller and Ghosts. Now that i think of it Ghosts was released on laserdisc in France. And I didn't know multi region players were cheap now, thats good . O we should also preserve the Legend Continues on laserdisc

We NEED to preserve THE MAKING OF MICHAEL JACKSON'S THILLER because it was only avaible on vhs and laserdisc in the 80's and its a great peice of pop history. Can someone capture form the lasersic possibly?? I would love to own a dvd copy of this thats nota shitty vhs transfer. And preserving GHosts would be a good idea. And moonwalker isn't avialbe in the USA on DVd so maybe we could bend the rules and preserve it haha.
