Of course it is going to be anamorphic, I doubt even for how much GL doesn't like the orginals that it wouldn't be.

Watch the documentary on the bonues disc of the 04 DVD set there a crap load of OOT footage from the cleaned up 1993 print that will most likely be used for this release!

I did watch the 2004 OT Documentary, and I have to agree with you on this. There were shots of Han running through the death star and instead encountering a whole room of stormtroopers, he encounters 5-6, so that is definitely OOT material, they also show the death star blowing up without the ring, and there were a couple of other things too that were definitely OOT scenes. But I have to say it looked real good, and I would be very very happy with that transfer.

So again, we have to wait and see, but I just cant see Lucas putting out some shit transfers of this, the word would get around before the release from reviews, and the backlash would be severe. I am very confident we will get three quality DVD's to make a majority of us happy.

Ya I'm hoping it from that transfer too, which is what I think it will be.

not to be rude but now that weget what we want and now you complian. Of course the qualit is going to be better tahn the laserdiscs because then it is not up to dvd code. They remastered tjhe OOT in 1993 before they started on the SE's and thats the master they will most likely be working with.

I'm actually in the process of updating my old Vintage Kenner-style collection. I haven't quite gotten the back layout nailed down yet, so excuse the misplaced elements there. Here's a preview. I still plan to add some hand-painted gradient effects to the white borders, some more images and text to the back. Not sure how I want to do the title logo yet on the front or the spine. Also, pay no mind to that blue shooting star, it's just a temp placement.

That way the seventh book comes out on the seventh day of the seventh month of the seventh year of the new millenium
