I know that this is slighty off topic but would there be a way to take the German LD's and recreate the mono mix with the soud effects from the German LD's and the english audio from one of the US releases. We have the theater bootleg so that way we know what dialogue is there. That way we have a good quality mono mix. Just thinking out load.
Gary Kurtz is the real man behind Star Wars, once he left it went downhill Vader was never suppose to be Lukes Dad Liea was never suppose to be Lukes sisters the fatter Lucas's neck got the crapier the moveis became he is more CGI than man now
I just thought of something for ANH. I'm not sure if this could be done but... What if we can get a scene were the Emperor overthrows the Senate. Just take a clip of him from ROTS with his back facing the Senate (of course flip it and change the color around to make it look different) and have have him say something brief like "We are in no longer need of a Senate, I will be the only ruler of this Galaxy". I don't know I'm just thinking off the top of my head right now. Maybe we could have someone record themselve in a voice like the Emperor's. Then cut to the Senate yelling and stuff, and have his little saucer thing go away. I don't know if this would even be possible but just though I would give my idea .
Originally posted by: Guy Caballero This is sort of related: On the dvd documentary, there are several clips from Jedi that look really good, and they have the burned-in film subtitles, so they're not from the dvd, or the old laserdiscs. Where did they come from? I only wish the dvds would look that good.
Probably from the film master that GL is too stubborn to use *sighs*
Originally posted by: MoveAlong Thanks to everyone for the kind words. I'm glad everyone's digging it. I think it turned out pretty good. But when you're so close to something for SO long, you lose perspective. I'm actually kind of getting pumped up to start Empire now, but I told myself I'd wait until the OUT is out (no pun intended). Anyway, hopefully this will make it to myspleen soon so more people can enjoy it.
I'd love to read some reviews if anyone would care to do so...
I'll do a review for you .
Packaging: 10/10 Great Cover art that fits it well, nice summary on the back, and very professional looking disc label. Menu: 10/10 Great menus, very easy to get around, nice use of moving footage. They definately looked like official ones Editing: 10/10 Excellent editing, just amazing. Everything synced up perfectly with the footage. Nice use or sources to remove ugly SE's element. Although that was noticable it still looked great. I saw matte lines but for this edit I thought that they were very fitting so they didn't bug me. I like the focusing on the still images and things like that. Very fitting for the content. I loved the title crawl, and credit. Very simple and nice looking.
Overall this project is jsut amazing, I was very impressed . Definately enjoyable, every Star Wars fan needs this on there shelf.
This was also my first time getting a fan edit by disc, it came very soon. Thank You alot MoveAlong. Also I was so suprised that it came with a Case and everything. I thoguht I was just gonna get a dvd-r with sharpie writing saying the name in a cover less CD case lol.
I'm also very excited for ESB and ROTJ! --DR
EDIT: I forgot the DVD-Rom stuff haha. DVD-Rom: 10/10 The radio drama, the audio, Mp4 version for an Ipod, disc art, scans of the records art, and more. It was just perfect content for this edit.
Originally posted by: JediFlyer06 Well, it was always intended to be that way. But, with time and money constraints, there was just no way to make the clones shoot first.
Well GL already fixed that for the 2007 release, one of them shoots at Yoda first and Yoda blocks it with his lightsaber. GL was able to pull this off by the brillance of CGI!
I'm looking forward for the DVD release of Dark Wing Duck. I love that show haha. I watched that show everyday when I was little. So I can't wait for it
Originally posted by: ADigitalMan I've already got my new set on pre-order. And I'm patiently awaiting the X0 project because it will undoubtedly be better, but having the official one will give me much firmer ground for owing the X0 version.
Exactly, after debating to get them or not I decided to buy them that way I have alegit excused for owning the X0 project and other great transfers.
Thanks for the update. That is awesome that you got cgi Yoda to look like the puppet. I also think that if there is a way to change the tints of the blue and green blade so like they are in the OT that would be great, like you said. And I can't wait till the trailer *does happy crazy dance*
Awesome guys. I can't wait. But I think I agree with Darth Mallwalker on the whole starfield thing. Because they vanished due to the NTSC scanlines. But I really shouldn't be judging, thats for your guys decisions lol.
