OK, I tried to increase the crackling, is it better ? My fear was that on a TV screen, it became too visible but I might be wrong.

Part 2 : https://vimeo.com/491240392

pw : fanedit

Fear not as I watch all this on my TV and seems fine, although…

When comparing Kylos sabre to Lukes the arcing effect does seem somewhat “static”, Kylos seems to have a kind of extra glow/fire effect which merges the sabres outline somewhat if that makes sense.

Quality episode can’t beat it

It didn’t seem like they added any voice modulation or distortion to Fett’s voice while wearing his helmet. I interpreted it as that he was not speaking through the helmet’s electronics. Which… make me smile in what I perceived as a deliberately ambiguous non-address of the two voices of Fett in different versions of ESB.

Thats great thinking and a good way to have both voices work in lore as we can’t lose Jason Wingreen voice 😁👍

Could it be just the natural lighting that make everything look less appealing to some?

Thats exactly it, If this was filmed as is during a dark rainy nights backdrop then there would be little complaint, but that doesn’t make it bad that it was shot in daylight, it was all done so very well.

… very excited to see the Dark Troopers in full force! They’re clearly battle droids, so those bodies in the tanks from chapter 12 may well be something else, like experiments on Snoke.

That was my thoughts, I assumed initially they were setting up the lab bodies they grew from Grogus blood as the Dark Troopers, but we know now that they are droids Soooo…

The Clone Wars: Refocused [COMPLETE] + Subtitles for season one!
Time

Hi Darth Mulfy, good to have you with us. If you are sharing that information here to recommend them as potential sources of ideas for this edit, perhaps you could save us some time or direct our attention by giving us an overview of the cuts made by ExpandedUniverses that you think are in line with the goals of the Clone Wars Refocused project? If you are not sharing for that reason, some context would be much appreciated!

Sure but might be worth a quick overview on what was edited yourself to consider things that has already been done, no point in retreading ideas that may not work was my intentions of bringing it to light here. I’m currently going through hes edits but will keep an eye on this thread and only chime in if I can contribute.

As it was intended for kids I find the clone wars very hard to take in (got the bluray boxset for my little ones awhile ago) but in movie forms editing out most fluff its not as bad of a watch personally and if we can get a good edit from it all that lets us watch the stonger canon story arcs alongside mandalorian then bonus 😁.

Harry Potter Extended Editions (Released)

I came across a YouTube video this morning on the HP deleted scenes and did a double-take with one of them in particular. The group that made the video must have seen my edits because they used them in the making of their video. No mention was made of them, but it is clear they used them. The reason I know is because they showed the scene from PoA after Hogsmeade. In my edit, when Harry eats the candy, his face turns pink/red. That isn’t in the original deleted scene. That is an effect I added. But it is in this YT video. I looked at others they mentioned and they also show the zoomed in Dudley’s Redemption scene that I’ve been working on for a while. Was pretty cool to see.

Take it as a complement to how good your edits are, not worth stressing over what other peeps do.

I’m so excited to see the final version in HD! Is there any other way to download besides the google drive, since it’s having a breakdown from how popular it is?

Hi Ghjklbnm,
Did you check the FAQ on how to download ?

  1. Log into your Google Drive account

  2. Right click the FOLDER in which your preferred movie file resides within Google Drive:
e.g. The Rise Of Skywalker - Ascendant 1080p (FOLDER not file)

  3. Choose download from the drop down menu which starts the zip process that should take
around a few hours to complete by which point you’ll be asked to save the file to your desired location.

Nausicaa of The Valley of The Wind Redesigned Sound Mix (V2 Released)
Time

I like what you’ve done with the sound alot, can’t fault the audio its seamless and you can hear the care and attention put into it but the video quality for a 30gb file is not great. I understand that you was working with a dvd upscale but this would really benefit from Blu Ray video source you mentioned plus the 5.1 is a must for a project like this.

Keep up the good work PJ and hope to see the HD 5.1 version at some point.😁👌

THE CLONE WARS SAGA (No Longer Available)
Time

I like the idea of expanding your movie series onto eight edits that mirrors Porkerrican’s Rebels Saga plus seeing more Ahsoka in the future is a plus. If your able to keep it as tight as your current edits without breaking the current pacing and not adding too much to lengths its worth considering.

I’m still going through your current edits and have to say the pacing is very good with them and coin a thrase they are: Faster, More Intense. 😉👌

I have added a video comic to the folder, since the Maul: Son of Dathomir comic series is integral to the plot of the series overall despite not being animated. It was made by STAR WARS AUDIO COMICS and THE LORE MASTER on YouTube. I thank them for their incredible work and thought it would be great to share here, as it really expands the series and my own fanedits.

Here’s the original link:

Thanks ExpandedUniverses for pointing out the Son Of Dathomir Audio Comic, when would you recommened watching it in relation to your episodes.

Could you also PM me those Porkerrican Rebel edit links, thanks.

Don’t mean to be a badger/dig up old threads but is there any news on V2?? This is definitely a VERY interesting project.

Yeah, for me this is the best fan edit of the ep 1, its a better story, conects better with the other 2 films.

Agreed this is my go to edit if I ever feel in the need to go back and watch Episode I

Just finished watching the edit with your commentary track which made for an interesting listen and is nice to hear what we all think about the film said aloud.

Now that the definitive version of The Rise of Skywalker: Ascendant is finished (and my preferred watch of the film) would you consider maybe trying a few different things when editing the Nobody edition like insinuating that Rey kills Leia like in my crude mock up vid here: 😉
