What's funny is that nothing has been done regarding SW.com. In fact, the whole site is now down. I've got it saved if anyone wants it.

AIM: RevengeSith2005

It'll be on TRL on MTV and Access Hollywood tonight anyway.

I'm liking the insane amount of lightsaber fights going on here. Yoda, Windu, Dooku, Obi-Wan and Anakin, Sidious...

They're all gonna duel.

EDIT: Screens removed so Lucasfilms doesn't ass-rape me.

Glad I'm not a member. Exactly how many minutes did it take for the trailer to make it into the public domain?

The character on the left looks so different from the one on the right, I'm wondering if they are indeed the same person. I'm assuming this is Darth Sidious, played by Ian McD, but the make up looks soooo heavy compared to Palpatine. The cheeks are strangely built up. I almost had wondered if it was a scarred-up Anakin, but he'd need the suit. Lucas has suceeded at confusing me, if nothing else.

Anybody else find some of this movie looking extremely bright-and-in-the-daylight for such a "dark" movie?

What you'll find even more confusing is that Palpatine looks like he did in Episode I. In AOTC, he looked like crap, older, didn't he??

And it's definitely not a messed-up Anakin because you can hear him do a creepy Emperor laugh. "AHAHA!!!"

Kinda goofy.

I'm a Hyperspace member and I can't even access the site because it's experiencing one gigantic technical breakdown.

Firstly, you'd think they'd have been prepared for a massive amount of people dying to see this. Once again, Lucas has screwed his fans, and this time, the ones that are SW.com members.

Weeks of anticipation of the teaser trailer...only to have it not work. Great job Lucasfilm!

My 2 cents releasing the OT on DVD
Time
I don't think any of the old effects look cheesy, including the 1933 King Kong. If you consider it cheesy, then your view of films is kinda jaded. CG looks cheesy. It'll never seem real. The effects in the original films were at some point real objects, be it miniatures or stop-motion creatures. It lends itself to making the film more real and less extravagant and over-the-top like today's films.

And for the record, the 1976 Kong OWNS. And I just watched the E.T. original theatrical version and I'm never watching the 20th Anniversary Edition again. Ever.

Collection of action figures from 1995 on.

heh, yeah, i have every figure up to probably about wave 3 or 4 from episode I.

This and klingon_jedi's post reminded me of a few nice mistakes i have. I have the r2 freeze frame with imperial trash compacter and death star trash compacter (i think the imperial was the one they changed)

I also have a darth sidious figure that the sticker with his name on it is on upside down.

I unfortunatly dont have (or know the location of) any of the figures me and my older brother had from the original run (they were all opened). we just had like artoo, vader, luke, jabba and ones like that. And wicket...i dont care what people say, i liked the ewoks...i actually have 3 of the stuffed animal ewoks from the early 80's Wicket and the mother and baby

I stopped collecting after Episode I, so I only have a handful of those figures.

I have a mistake on a Luke Skywalker in Imperial Guard Disguise card from Shadows of the EMpire, where the little cape piece isn't packaged with him. Now bear in mind, this was a while ago (1996?) I e-mailed Steve Sansweet about it and the letter was published in SW Insider, where I remember he was a total smartass. That ended any liking for that guy I could have.

EpIII Teaser Poster
Time
Thanks for bringing us back on topic!

I think the biggest problem with the poster is it has a very non-Star Wars feel. Like the Episode II teaser, which was just as bad. But that one looked like something done on photoshop, real shoddy. This one looks like something from a Pepsi promotion or something.

The Episode I Anakin is so superior.
