The Rancor wasn't truly "fixed" until the DVD release. As said, the Snowspeeders were not corrected as ILM claims they were, and the Emperor's slug is still there, no? If anything, more problems have been created with the DVD than fixed. In my opinion anyway.

Reasons I hate the ROTJ SE:

5. Jedi Rocks. Whatever claims Lucas makes as to not having enough money or creatures to make a large band is BS because Jabba's Palace was loaded with them. He could've jut as easily used more puppets in the band and made it like he "originally intended it to be" back in 1983.
4. Yub Nub. I got chills when this song played and the original spirit of Anakin appeared. Now, that is all gone, because...
3. Anakin replaced. The hell. All stupid explanations for it aside, it looks dumb. Who filmed this thing?!
2. End celebration. It really is completely out of place and has Gungans. Not cool in any respect. Of course, the effects were nice at the time ("Wow, look at Coruscant!"), but it simply doesn't fit in with ROTJ.
1. Emperor statue. This is one of the small things that pissed me off. The Emperor has a statue? To me, it makes him seem kinda lame..."Make me a statue!" Gah, I don't know, never liked the idea.

No he's using the Force to mask his true appearance. His old master, Darth Plagueis, discovered a method to control midichlorians and create life. At least, this is all according to ROTS spoilers. I believe they are true.

Anyway there is a 20 year difference (or something like that) between III and VI, so the difference in appearance will either be explained off as aging over time or something else...the movie's not even out yet, I believe it will be explained at some point. Hopefully.
