DVD Hilarity

I'm not sure if anyone's seen this, but there's a spoof on all the DVD/SE changes on toastedpixel.com. The page in question is here:

Toasted Pixel - Star Wars Trilogy DVD Review

There are, what I thought were, hilarious animated renditions of scenes like...

Greedo Shooting First:

STAR TREK / STAR WARS CROSSOVER! In Special Ed. version, Han engages in what Star Trek fans refer to as "The Picard Maneuver." Basically, to elude an enemy, Han moves at Warp speed for a split second, creating a shadow image of himself. The enemy shoots at the wrong image, allowing Han to shoot back at Greedo. Or maybe it was bad digital editing, who knows.

Greedo shoots a bug on the wall about two feet from Han's head, while a lounging Han shimmies to the right seamlessly and shoots Greedo.

Actually, wait, now I just have no idea what the hell is supposed to happen in this shot. What the fuck.

Obi-Wan Versus Death Star Root Login Security (Tractor Beam):

They redid the words so they would be in the Aurebesh, rather than English. But they didn't redo any of the rest of the scene. So Obi Wan is still using punchcards and 20 baud modems on the Death Star's mainframe, only now we have no idea why.

The Return Of The Opening Scene (Vader's Arrival On Executor In Empire):

The re-used shot is Vader's opening scene in ROTJ, where a Commander greets Vader on the Death Star.

Let's go over the film sagas in history that have re-used scenes from their own films:

Death Stalker II
Fearless Hyena II
Return of the Jedi

Hayden Christensen:

Christensen seems to make eye contact with every crew member in the room, bowing and thanking everyone for his opportunity to appear as the ghost. Unfortunately, he doesn't seem to notice other people around him, like the two Jedi ghosts looking at him right next to him, and Luke Skywalker, the person he's supposed to be appearing for. Odd acting/directing choice. Eh. Could've been worse (Gungans).

I thought it was hilarious.

Song In Jabba's Palace
Time
Jedi Rocks is just another example of Lucas basically thinking up changes as he went. Any excuse like budget and time is just crap, especially in regards to the musical number scene. Jabba's Palace was loaded with creatures and they could've easily used as many of them as they needed as members of the band. They obviously didn't intend to have that.

Why would you want the wolfman back. George Lucas never liked it. Neither did Rick Backer. He said he intended it to be used in the background only and was embarressed to see it in such a prominate place. Though it is strange that Clone Wars put a wolfman Jedi.

The line "Bring me my Shuttle" made no sense. His shuttle was already there.

Why would you want to have the old Emperor scene back. Ian Mcdarmid is the Emperor not an old women and a chimp.

Wolfman was awesome. Just because Lucas and Baker didn't like him doesn't mean we also have to.

Bring my shuttle was fine and much better than what's in there now (sounds nothing frickin like him no matter what you claim it to be). It could've been interpreted as sort of a valet (i.e. they bring the shuttle to the nearby pad to pick him up).

The old Emperor kicks so much ass. Creepy...mysterious. It was perfect. And he/she/it shall remain in my sig forever.
