'78 interview with David Prowse [spoilers] :) he reveals Vader is Luke's father
Time

It seems he was pretty specific, that the reveal would be Vader confessing to Luke during a lightsabre duel.  I'm thinking he knew what the current scripts contained.

(The bit about it being in Part 3 instead of 2, I would surmise is because the reporter mixed up what Prowse was precisely talking about when he described the scene.)

Here's something appropriate for this crowd (which has probably been posted elsewhere at some point).  "Star Wars and False Flag Terrorism."

Although the narrator has a voice only fit for silent films, he makes the correct parallel, and the general motivation for the attacks is explained pretty well.

Anyway, both this and the other thread should be locked.  Discussing "9/11" without discussing "conspiracy theories" (or dignifying the pejorative connotation of the phrase) is like discussing WWII without mentioning the Axis Powers; or discussing Star Wars without mentioning George Lucas; or discussing the OOT without mentioning the SEs; or TPM without Jar-Jar; or C3PO without R2D2; or Obama without Soetoro; or Sega without Genesis; or Teddy without Chappaquiddic; or Nixon without brow sweat; or Palin without bikinis & AKs; or Paul without John; or break-ups without Yoko...

And all I want is news on when that damn technicolor SW print will be scanned for a bootleg blu-ray.  Please.  9/11 upsets me, as it should any reasonable person.  Let's stick with the space operas, people.

Why we hate the prequels at OT forum.
Time

In AOTC, as ObiWan is investigating the attempted assassination of Queen Kabuki, he discovers that a long-dead Republic official has ordered an army of clones [made by a whole RACE of "cloners"--yes, races are so stereotyped they uniformly enter into the identical technical trade!].

When asked by the Council whether the cloners might have anything to do with the attempt, he replies, "No, there's no motive."

Uuuuh, but what about the $8O GAGILLION ARMY SALE DEAL you JUST DISCOVERED that might have been scuttled by the Senator-Queen's public "No" vote on building an "Army of the Republic"?

Oh, yeah, and her expected vote was why he had been detailed as her security in the first place.  Yeah.  But the army itself?  No motive there!

So this is revealed as a back-story point, but it's blatant relevance to the actual PLOT is simply unappreciated by the character.

It shows a profound and baffling lack of the writer's (ostensibly Lucas's) ability to inhabit the world he's created on its own terms.

Trying to note things that haven't been beaten into the ground:

The second I saw those "wacky" robots frenetically fighting outside of Mos Eisley, I freaked out.  And I'm talking about opening night '97 SE, here.  It was so infantile, crass and vulgar.

My heart sank in despair, and I just thought, "What the fuck is this?!?!"  That bit alone established that this "enhancement" gimmick was a nightmare.

I must say, if I were ABC, I would have picked better sources for a Truth initiate.  (911revisited.com)

(However, I have the misfortune of possessing curiosity sufficient to impel me to read books, which I know other people do not do, so I don't really bother recommending anything anymore.)

AND I know I'm not bingowings, because I never could have created an avatar that awesome!

yeah, your wasting your time ChainsawAsh,  conspiracy nutcases will never be convinced.   Not matter how much evidence you offer to the contrary, they will continue to believe their ridiculous conspiracy theories. Its pointless to argue with them.

Are you being, like, ironic, dude?

Or are you so dependent on ad hominem attacks that you actually believe them to constitute "evidence"?

Pretty darn efficient, huh?

Total collapse time: about 6.7 seconds, the same amount of time it would have taken a bowling ball to fall 47 stories.  In other words, free-fall speed.

This means the top floor encountered zero resistance from any of the floor or columns below, notwithstanding all that steel and concrete.

If that don't make you go hmmmm, I don't know what will.  Let's just vote new powers to the chancellor and forget about it.
