...Raiders of the Lost Arc might be on my list, but it's been ages since I've seen it.
Thanksgiving gets the short end of the stick, really. I mean as soon as Halloween ends, the Christmas decorations go up in all the stores.
At least they're giving an explanation better than RETCON PUNCH!
That said, I'm not exactly excited by the new movie, but I do intend to see it in theatres unless it just gets a lot of negative publicity. I love a good Star Trek story, and good Trek has been extremely sparse since 1994.

Eh, let the audiophiles believe their ears are capable of hearing the minute differennces that make MP3s so inferior. They may be wasting their money, but it's still money going back into the economy. :P

Well, I got the latest version of Open Office, so the problem is solved, though it still annoys me that after all that money went to Office, we can't use it because of a blasted serial number.
As for my crashed computer, it's under warranty, so it will be fixed eventually.
I did more than a few and came up empty-handed.
I get that hacks would be against the rules, but why would legitimate serial numbers be?

My main computer just crashed utterly tonight; it won't even start up. I grabbed my old computer from the back room and set it up, but it does not have Office installed on it. This is a problem given that I'm in school and need to write papers quite often. Obviously there are freeware alternatives, but I'd prefer to use the real thing.
Unfortuantely, the CD key sticker has been torn in half, so I can't install it again, and a CD key finder is useless because Office has never been installed on this computer..
Does anyone have a CD Key they'd be willing to spare?
The problem with a Star Wars style hologram is that projections require some sort of medium that reflects light. We can't make light just go to one point and then stop. Its' the same reasons they fill laser-tag arenas full of fog--because otherwise we couldn't see the lasers.
I'd very much like the idea of one version of the system.

Keith Olberman is the worst person in the world.
They're leaving the basic architecture the same as Vista, but I think they're going to target the issues a lot of people had with it.
It's not that big of a download, honestly. If you have a connection faster than 28 K, you should have no problem getting it.
Also... FireFox has fewer pop-ups and is generally more secure than IE. It's a bit slower, but I think it's a fair trade off.

The Mos Espa and Boonta Eve levels of Episode One were cool because you could go around as Qui Gon or Obi Wan or whoever and literally kill just about everyone in the city.

I'm SOOOO ticked off!
In Half-Life 2 episode 2 for the X-Box 360, there's an achievement called "Little Rocket Man" in which you have to carry a lawn gnome from the start of the game to the end and put him in a rocket to send him in to space.
I did this. I carried him all the way to the end of the game.
And I didn't get the achievement because you have to SHUT THE DOOR of the hatch you put him in. And I didn't know that.
ARGH!
Yeah. There are a some worthwhile games on the PS1, but the vast majority of them have superior versions on other systems. The only PS1 exclusive I'd consider a must-play game is Final Fantasy 7. Jedi Power Battles is definitely not worth the effort of tracking it down.
The other mega-huge PS1 game, Symphony of the Night, was ported to the XBoxLiveArcade last year and from my understanding runs much better off a hard-drive than a PS1 disc.

Well, I wouldn't say republicans, conservatives would be more accurate. Anyone else notice that anyone who ACTUALLY deals with money is conservative? Students, who happen to get loans, scholarships, and Mom & Dad's money, are usually LIBS. The parents at home, hard-core conservatives, reasons for that you know.
true enough. im more of a governmental conservative than social. in reality, George Bush might be extremely conservative in social politics, but has been arguably the most liberal spender our government has seen.
Clinton, on the other hand, was one of few to bring the US in the black.
The sad thing is, I can't see John McCain doing much to reverse Bush's trend of heavy spending. That's the price of giving a party that once stood for fiscal conservativism over to the 'moderates' in the name of electability.

Yeah, price is still the only reason we've not adopted BluRay yet. We have a low-end HDTV and a progressive scan DVD player (the X-Box 360) and that's good enough until the price drops.
I've heard nothing but slightly-above-average things about Force Unleashed. Which is pretty much exactly what I was expecting.
I'm not sure I want to vote for McCain based on the chance that opposition from the left will make him more conservative. I'd rather vote for a sure thing, or at least someone whose principles are well reasoned, than someone who takes possitions based on his feelings-at-the-moment
He's not defending Bush's spending (I don't think anyone outside the administration would try and defend Bush's spending); he's just pointing out that Clinton would have spent more than he did if he'd had a Democrat congress.
On top of that, the American people aren't blind to the overspending. Republicans not being fiscally conservative (along with a few immoral Republicans getting conveniently-timed major press coverage) is what lost the GOP control of Congress two years ago.
