That's good to know, since so far it's felt a bit too easy to me. Granted I only just finished Goron Mines. Bring on the challenege! I've not played a truly difficult Zelda game since Oracle of Ages. (The final battle vs Vaati in The Minish Cap not withstanding.)

Well, I've been skimming over the actual reasons for the backlash since it includes spoilers, but generally the complaint I've heard most was that it's essentially a giant Ocarina of Time Fanservice with too little exploration. Another site said that it probably had the best storyline of any Zelda game, but the storytelling was horrible.

(I'm not going to touch any of that until I finish the game, though.)

And the Wind Waker backlash was primarily because of the graphics. Once people got passed (or wrote the game off for) the way it looked, Wind Waker was generally well-liked. Largely because it has the best climax of any game in the series.

Well that was largely because they killed the show and the movie was the last chance the universe had at a second wind.

Would you really want to watch a Firefly movie that was essnetially an exstended episode? When you bring it to the big screen, you have to raise the stakes. Remember Transformers: The Movie?

Even though I absolutely LOVE Twilight Princess, and definitely believe it to be a worthy transition to the series, there is one thing that I have a problem with, and that is the sound effects. Even though they changed the graphics to be more realistic, they kept the same sound scheme from Wind Waker, and they don't match up. Even though I see Ocarina of Time, I hear Wind Waker, and they just don't click (especially with things like the little jingle whenever you open a chest and find Rupees, etc.)

That might be why I feel like the game doesn't feel totally like Zelda. It's got many Zelda elements, but I feel like something's missing so far. Maybe it's just me, though. I'm only just now entering the Goron Mines.

I don't 'hate' the PS3 because I'm a rabid Nintendo fanboy (which I am, but that's besides the point)--I'm just not convinced that even with the Blu-Ray player, it's worth all that money for, games wise, a single worthwhile exclusive at the moment. Metal Gear Solid 4? I could care less about it. Devil May Cry 4? I still haven't finished DMC3... In fact, the only game I'm really anticipating on the PS3 is the as-of-yet unnamed Rachet and Clank game.

But at the same time, one of the reasons the Gamecube came in with the lowester market share last generation is that Microsoft payed publishers NOT to port some games to the Gamecube (because the X-Box has a higher graphical advantage over the PS2 than it does over the GC)... So you could also argue that had Microsoft not done that, third party support--including some of the more mature games--may have kept the Gamecube afloat longer.

Honestly, I don't really care. I've had just as much fun with my GC as I have with my X-Box over the past five years, but the marketplace tends to lean towards the more mature games.

On an entirely different note, who else thinks THIS GAME would be the perfect Star Wars title to port to the Wii?
