That's defintiely a Yay. The D-Pad is far superior to the one on the WiiMote, and it's pretty much a must-have for some VCS games like Sooper Castlevania IV. It's basically an SNES controller with 2 extra shoulder buttons and 2 joysticks added.

Anyone get Wii Play?

Can't decide whether to purchase or not based on reviews, but the price seems reasonable considering it comes with the ever elusive Wiimote.

I would. Laser Hockey sounds like fun, but more importantly, it's only ten bucks extra from the price of the WiiMote.

Yeah, Ages has some brain teasers.

There's one dungeon in Jabu Jabu's belly that has the water-level changing elements of Ocarina of Time and Twilight Princess' Water Temple.

My problem with Vaati... I kept getting hit by those fireball things he shoots, and for a while I coudn't figure out how to beat one of his forms. Also, I didn't have but one or two fairies.

You beat Vaati on your first try? Wow. And Zelda 2---That's one hard game. Well, the fact that it is hard doesnt' really bother me. I just hate that if you die, you have to start back at the Ancient Zelda shrine. So frikkin' stupid. I'd love to see a Metroid: Zero Mission style remake, that's still difficult, but still uses modern design principles.

Current video game status:

Twilight Princess: In the Fishing Hole post-Arbiter's Grounds
God of War: At the Ares boss fight
Oracle of Seasons: Just finished dungeon five
Phoenix Wright 2: Finished it Sunday
Castlevania IV (VCS): Level Four
Bomberman 93 (VCS): Level B-6

Well, not only that; G4 was never really a good gaming network. They always came across as lameish wannabes. Tech TV wasn't an actual gaming network, but their game-dedicated show X-Play creamed G4's judgement day. The buy-out caused all of G4's crappy programming to replace Tech-TV's good programming; then G4 replaced their own crappy programming with even crappier generic programming (Star Trek excluded, of course.)

X-Play, Adam, and Morgan are safe for now, though. Even G4 realizes that X-Play is the primary reason their network is still even on the air. (Honestly, who watches TV to hear Kevin Pereira talk about porn conventions?)

Windows Vista
Time
I really don't have anything to say on the Mac vs PC debate, as I've not had any experience with a Mac since... er... 1993ish..

As for Vista, from what I've seen, it's a massive resource hog and has some kinks yet to be worked out. Windows XP has worked fine for me since 2002 and I probably won't be using Vista until this late-2005 model computer dies.

A Question About Projection Screen TV's.

Well, as far as some things go, I was actually just reading my old Legend of Zelda (NES) manual, and it did say that it would ruin projection screen TVs. I don't know if that applies to anything as recent as the PS2, but there is definitely something in his claim.

That's because Zelda has the status bar at the top the whole time you're playing the game.
