For the Wii? The only two I can think of that might be worth looking at are Resident Evil: Umbrella Chronicles and Sould Calibur Legends.

Umbrella Chronicles is a retelling of all the RE games involving the Umbrella Corp. plotline in light-gun form, using the Wiimote as your gun. I doubt it will be worth a purchase, but perhaps a rental. Soul Calibur Legends is a hack-n-slash set in the universe of the Soul Calibur fighting games using gestures to control your sword attacks. This one looks pretty but if they don't nail the controls it will end up a mess, so don't raise your hopes too high for that one.

Alternatively, I've heard that the Godfather: Black Hand Edition is pretty good.

Transformers: The Movie
Time
Hm. I wasn't a huge fan of G1 Transformers. I grew up mostly on Beast Wars (which is a good show in many ways despite the horrible CGI, and is a part of the G1 continuity)...

That said, I knew the basic plot going in and was expecting a fairly mediocre movie. However, I really found myself enjoying it quite a lot. The humor was just right, the action was spectacular, and it managed to make the idea of Transformers believable in a real-worldish setting. Optimus Prime is so hardcore.

A few criticisms, with SPOILERS:

-Why on Earth did they make the evacuation point of the All Spark a CITY full of, you know, PEOPLE. It felt like Bay just threw out logic and reason so he'd have a city for a set piece of the battle and bystanders to put in danger.

-Morse Code. Why does every movie use this cliche when communications are down? What are the odds that the people on the recieving end actually KNOW morse code? It would be clunky and inconvenient and you'd have to repeat the whole dot-and-dash sequence over and over again for them to get the whole thing.

Your faith in these franchises is moving, but to be frank, the past few incarnations of Tekken and Timespliters have been nothing special. (Not BAD by any means, but nothing to get hot and bothered over.)

GT5 will be the best racing game ever...

History begs to differ. Grant Turismo 3 was a boring sim racer with unforgiving controls. GT4 was pretty, but still a sim.

..and the 360's Gotham Racer is just as excllent. Pro Evo 7 on the PS3 will be stunning

Graphics aren't everything. Project Gotham doesn't interest me in the slightest.

[quote]and Mario Galaxy and Smash Bros Brawl are wimpy titles that the Wii is just going to release which are poor in comparison to the great titles that the PS3 will be releasing. The Nintendo Wii is an embarassment of an console.

Ugh. Stupid idiotic fanboys. Let's go play our mature games that are superior because they gots GRATE GRAPHX! Newsflash: Graphics don't mean much in the long run because games will ALWAYS be surpassed. Just look at RE4. It was the best looking console game ever when it was released. Now? Not so much on the graphics end. But it's still a suberb game because Capcom put their all into it.

X360 and PS3 are getting great games, but they're not great because of the system they do or don't appear on; they're great because developers care. I'd trade my 360's graphics capablities in a heartbeat if every game out there had the gameplay quality of God of War or Rachet and Clank.

A bunch of lame racing games? Seriously, is that the best you can come up with? Now, the Wii's racing games have, so far, been nothing to write home about. Only Exite Truck has been any kind of decent.

But seriously, the Wii will be getting a Mario Kart and probably a new F-Zero game within a few years, and those alone are worth all the boring Gran Turismo and its knock-offs money can buy. Online Mario Kart. It was great on the DS; it will be great on the Wii.

Granted, GTA4 will probably be a phenominal game. And so will, probably, Assassin's Creed, Goddess of War--I mean Heavenly Sword--and Rachet and Clank Future. Nobody is disputing that the PS3 and 360 are getting some great titles.

But look at what the Wii's got on the plate for this year! Resident Evil 4, Mario Galaxy, Smash Bros Brawl, Metroid Prime 3. That's hardly 'wimpy'!! Now if the third parties would just get their acts together, there'd be no problem at all.

Woo!

And *bump*

So, I went and sold some games I never play anymore at Gamestop, who are currently in the middle of their "GameDays" sale, which means I get 30% extra for trading in more than five games.

So I got like 68 bucks when I would have gotten 45 any other time. Bought a new copy of Starcraft I and a Nyko WiiRemote charger stand. I figure it will save me money on batteries in the long run. Now I just gotta figure out what to do about my X-360 controller.
