It is nowhere near finished yet, unfortunately. When I finish World 2 (hopefully in a few weeks), I will probably put out a demo.

Just out of curiosity, how come you're using the SMB3 (All-Stars) Goomba instead of the SMW Goomba? Just a personal preference of look, or is it because the SMW Goombas don't die when stepped on?
It is a combination of both.

Maybe I'm misinformed, but isn't SMW the only Mario game where the Goombas were like that? Because from my understanding that's the only game that didn't have them as angry walking mushrooms, so it may have something to do with continuity.

Well, technically, they're designed as angry, walking chestnuts, not mushrooms, as their original name, Kuribo, implies. Semantics aside, yes, that is the only game where stomping on them doesn't kill them, so I was wondering if he personally didn't like the unconventional SMW version, and maybe that's why he replaced it.

I really always hated the unconventional SMW version of the Goombas, so in my version, they are stompable and look "normal" again. In SMW in Japan, they were called "Kuribon," which may be implying that they were a separate sub-species. Who knows? I'm just aiming for consistency. That was pretty much the only game where they were like that. In Japan, they've always been chestnuts, sure, but in the US at least they have always been mushrooms. And SMW had some other issues with enemy continuity (see above, I also changed the Amazing Flyin' Hammer Bros. and Sumo Bros. to be more like SMB3-style Hammer Bros.).

I also noticed you changed the Fire Flower back to the SMB3 vesion.

Great review of Devil May Cry 4. You'll love it.

Hah, that was great. THat's pretty much exactly the same problem I had with Devil May Cry 3 except in DMC3 the problem wasn't throwing dice around or repeating levels but some incredibly counter-intuitive boss fights.

Okay, thanks! I'll give that a look once I've saved up enough money. It does allow two video tracks, right?

EDIT: I've downloaded a 30-day free trial for Vegas, and I'm fairly impressed at the surface. Several video and audio tracks. Many more options than Movie Maker. But I'm trying to figure out how I would make a video on track too appear as a smaller image in track one. For example, making a computer screen in the first video look like it's showing something on a screen in the second.

So, I've been working with Windows Movie Maker for the past few years, and it's been adequate for what I've been doing.

But I'm currently working on a project that will probably eventually require a better software than what WMM can do. The problem is I don't have a whole lot of money. I was wondering if anyone had any recommendations on what would be the best. I'm kind of leaning towards Roxio VideoWave or Pinnacle Studios Plus. Does anyone know specifically if VideoWave can do PiP?

Oh, yeah, also, if anyone else wants to discuss this stuff, go ahead and co-opt the thread for your own needs.

Okay, so I was at the Temple of the Ocean King where you have to draw the "sacred crest" on the red door. Did that and made it into the room, where they tell me to place the new sea chart onto the old one. So after literally 45 minutes of trying everything in the book to figure out how to do it, I slam the DS shut out of frustration. "DAMNIT!" About an hour later, I open it to give it another try, only to find that the trick to placing the new sea chart onto the old one was to close the DS! Pretty silly but it gave me a chuckle.

Man, I know exactly what you mean. That was so counter-intuitive. I actually closed my DS and went and looked it up on the Internet and found out that I'd already done the requirement.
