These are still the best transfers IMO. TR47 are not anarmorphic.

So I guess if you have a 16:9 HDTV go with Gonzos.
If you have a standard TV, use TR47s.

Regarding dual layered,

PLEASE make it larger than a standard DVD. Even if you do not have a dual layered burner, you can always burn the movie over 2 DVDs.

This way, you can still use your normal burner until you can buy a dual layered. Why sacrifice quality?

Dual-layered burners are around $100 and the media is $10-$12 per DVD. It will all come down in time.

I would hate for you to put it in all the work and then realize the quality could have been much better.

Just put it on 2 DVDs for now.

The Def. Collection is known to have laser rot.

I know there was a fixed release with the welding scene but like you said, it is more rare than the missing release.

How is the quality of the Ep1 edits?

Are they on dual layer DVDs? I assume the official release is better quality if it's not dual layered.
