My first exposure to the star wars trilogy was in pan and scan. Nowadays I know better, and for the most part prefer seeing the films in the original widescreen format. In ROTJ, during the scene where R2 cuts through the Ewoks net, in the original widescreen, you see the ewoks immediately when our heroes (for lack of a better phrase) fall down. In the pan and scan version, the heroes fall down, and the Ewoks come out of nowhere and walk over. I prefer the delay of the Ewoks apperence the fullscreen cut provides, but I doubt that I would want to see the whole movie like that. Do any of you prefer certain scenes in movies panned and scanned?
One of these days I might make a video with the bunny building pic and the other overly long pics and use a cover of "The Bunny Song" from Veggietales with modified lyrics as the audio...
I know, it's probably one of my sillier/dumber ideas :P
...on a related note, can TV's Frink sing?
You do know that CED and laserdisc are completely different, right?
Bad things happen when you post that image...
Wow. It's funny how typos completely change the meaning of what you say. Fixed the post in question.
So I said something so unusual that I manage to flabbergast you.
I should get a medal for that :P

Back on topic. I pointed out those two examples because they may seem unlikely, but they exist. I don't know this "director of Tokyo Drift", but he could surprise everybody with what he is offering on the plate.
My point is, just because it sounds outrageous, doesn't mean it can't work.
You're probably right, and I am probably making a false comparison.
Let me get this straight, you want to make a VHS preservation, but are using the blurays as a source anyway...if all you want is a theatrical sound mix that the bluray lacks, wouldn't it be better to use a laserdisc copy?
Well, considering someone made a Mario Kart clone in Sonic Robo Blast 2, which itself uses a heavily modified Doom engine, and Humongous Entertainment made a sports series using Lucasarts SCUMM engine (used mainly for adventure games), anything is possible.
Wow... I never had a hatred of voyager that many people have, but...that was insane. I honestly never noticed how many times people in the show said "some X of..."
At least Voyager wasn't Enterprise, which turned me off partway of the first episode, or the first JJ Abrams Trek movie, which between the sex scene with the green woman (not a fan of sex scenes in movies in general) and the blinding lens flare, made my eyes bleed...I guess I'm saying that Voyager wasn't the lowest the franchise could go.

This is my personal literary Star Trek canon list.
This is stuff I have read, and I continue to re-read.
If it's not on the list, I did not read it, or I did not consider it worthy
of considering cannon.
This is where it all ends for me!
Remember the last time that image was posted? Here's something to refresh your memory...
...I couldn't resist.
edit: I dare you to make a text list of everything in here :P
the history of too soon.
That would be better than the alternative
