Which Star Trek series do you like best and why? Who is your favorite commander?

...most TOS episodes presented a moral dilemma where the "right" thing to do is not at all clear... By contrast, most of the episodes in the "modern" series (and the TOS movies for that matter) were built around simply defeating enemies or solving problems.

Well then, do you think DS9 is closer to the first point or the second point?

Back to Star Wars please?

Yes, sorry!

Has anyone here ever played the Japanese NAMCO Star Wars game for the Famicom (a.k.a., NES in the US) that was released in 1987?

Don't confuse this with the JVC Star Wars NES game released in 1991.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Star_Wars_%281987_video_game%29

I hear good things about it.

I have, and at one point made a video walkthrough before I deleted it. That game was hard on easy mode. Only a few lives, with seemingly no way to add to them. No passwords. No continues. Several Vader clones that transform into monsters (quoth the AVGN, "I am your father, and I am also a ****ing scorpion") The only way I was able to beat the game was savestates, and even then I died a couple times.

One thing to note is that the famicom and nes empire strikes back games are the same, the only real difference being the ladder has japanese text.

I'd love to see an anime (or even better, toku) adaption of the famicom star wars game.

What is your home theater setup for watching Star Wars movies? (or what equipment would like to get if you could afford it/or dream setup?)

Are all of you going to tell us that our setups utilize technology there is no demand for?

Well, I play my CED's back on a curved screen that does on-the-fly 3D conversion, using a quadrophonic audio setup, so there's no risk of that for me.

Not sure if serious.

Just close your eyes and think of Frink.

Irony checklist: CED, curved screen, 3D, quadrophonic

I already knew what CED was before you posted your reply.

Also, I'd rather think of something else than Frink when i close my eyes and...

Looks like little Annie fell to the Darkside

Goatees lead to handlebars, handlebars lead to neckbeards, neckbeards lead to mutton chops.

No handlebars leads to global destruction.

"I don't like...global destruction."

I had to get a Darths and Droids joke somewhere. Well, that and the "goatees are evil" thing. Qui-Gon does NOT have a goatee, thank you very much.
