It actually makes sense that the ewoks kicked the stormtroopers asses. All we seen them do in the OT was miss every single thing they aimed at, bump their heads and nearly lose their helmets and burn down the Lars homestead, which I'm guessing was due to one of the troopers tripping over a BBQ.
For me they both have a certain charm. The OT Yoda has a more grounded & nostalgic feel - the PT Yoda is obviously more active & expressive. I think by the time they hit RoTS ILM really nailed it.
I'm hoping when it's all said & done all the Yoda's in the PT are consistent and in the OT if anything is done it's something along the lines of what AdY is currently doing (subtle tweaking).
Original Yoda feels more real b/c there is a part of us that knows he was physically there on set with Mark Hammil. But he does have many fake moments as well. When he is on Luke's back with his head bobbing around lifelessly and when he does the standard puppet walk across the scene for example.
Wow you really don't notice all the subtle differences until staring at both side by side and doing some ps work.
The original Yoda seemed to always have a natural smirk, his forehead ridges were more pronounced, his head shape was narrower and his eyes were much bigger.
I happen to love both. I think PT Yoda fits fine (and will work even better when TpM version is replaced) and the OT Yoda works great as well. The most that should be done to the OT version is little mouth and eye movements like AdY is doing for EsBR. Just minor tweaks here and there.
I don't know that there really is an opportunity as it stands to add waterfalls....but I dig the idea. Maybe the best bet would simply be to show waterfalls in the background somewhere in a new establishing shot.....sorta like the new establishing shot of the DS in AnHR which worked so well.
I seriously doubt GL put anymore work into these films outside of what we last saw revised in 2004.
My guess is the most we'll see officially from LFL is the long overdue Saga blurays with a new CG Yoda for TPM (another change way overdue) and maybe a few fixes here and there. But nothing on the scale of what AdY is doing. And nothing close to the same level of love and care that the films deserve. Sadly we probably wont even see a restored OT.
Sorta back on topic....
All these pics of Coruscant has me wondering about possibly seeing Luke @ the very end of RoTJ in the Jedi Temple and then pulling away slowly. No idea how to pull something like this off though. Maybe just something simple like him looking out a window or something from within the temple. I'm thinking of something along the lines of paralleling Anakin quietly gazing outward in RoTS just before he made the decision to turn.
I guess re-using some footage from somewhere else in the movie is the only way possible.

It's a interesting idea to place Vader/Luke/Palps on Coruscant for the final battle and would make for a much more interesting backdrop......but I can't see it working.
I know changes to the core story are in order but this one change I can't see fitting. Too many other things would need to be reworked or edited out for it to function. Plus - as it has been mentioned - the Emperor being on the DS2 is the rebels main reason for giving it their all.
Without the Emperor on the DS2 all we have is a rehash of AnH (rebels blowing up another space station) which is something we are trying to get away from.
Even with that said I'd still like to see a mock up of what it might look like.

Whoaa.....thanks for the new clips AdY. Everything is coming along nicely. I don't see a problem with Yoda's blinking....I don't know, maybe it's me though I think it looks okay. The recoloring is looking spectacular...as expected.
I was hoping to see some subtle Yoda toe wiggling a bit though when his feet are shown so prominently, lol....don't know if it's too late for such a change though or if Ady or anyone else would want to see that. After rewatching the clip I wonder if such a little movement might work when he laughs.
I also like the idea of maybe removing the debris from the Han Solo Hoth shot prior to the explosion. Never noticed that one before......great catch!

Cool clip. I'm really liking the corrected colors and music..and of course the subtle repositioning of Luke's legs.
Speaking of which - what an awesome opening scene to kick start the movie........it really sets the tone for all the punishment the heroes are about to take.

I think the "your mother once thought as you do" change would be an appropriate edit. At that point in the saga everything is coming full circle and Luke brings up his mother anyway earlier with Leia.
The line is in reference to there still being good in Vader - which are Padme's dying words.
I just don't know if it could be done well enough. There has to be a JEJ movie where he says "mother" that can be worked with.....that's where we need to start.
