I see. I didnt know until now that PhotoBucket had a space limit. I guess you can tell that I dont use my PB account much. Hopefully Grisan will update his site soon.

Now, ReverendBeastly, I was wondering if I could ask you a question? You mentioned that the EditDroid Star Wars was part of a set. Can you tell me more about this set?

Has anyone created a cover for Star Wars - The Mysterious Mysteries Version?

Welcome to the boards Jedikev!

Bossk, unfortunately there is no cover for this particular DVD. I downloaded this masterpiece from the incredibly cool Bit Torrent website known as www.myspleen.com. Essentially, the DVD attempts to recreate the original theatrical version of Star Wars.

This version is known to many as the "Pre-A New Hope" version. Genius editor Magnolia Fan has also created his own PRE-ANH version of Star Wars, but I have not seen it yet.

The Mysterious Mysteries version is fantastic. There are so many subtle changes that you cant possibly catch them all in one sitting. Its a real history lesson and a great work of film preservation. It also made me realize that George Lucas was busy changing things even all the way back in 1981, which is when "A New Hope" was added to the opening crawl.

The best part about this DVD? It has BOTH versions of the opening crawl, the ORIGINAL Theatrical Version and the 1981 A New Hope Version. You can switch back and forth at will using your DVD player "angle" function.

There is a ton of information available on this DVD over at myspleen.com. Unfortunately, at the time I wrote this post, I could not reach the website in question. Hopefully, it will be back up soon and we all can talk more about this amazing DVD.

Greetings from Wookie Groomer; Split Screen Project (Released)
Time
DarthOsor, thanks for the helpful link. I've been wanting to learn more about the newsgroups. I'm a bit torrent guy and I've been thinking its time for a change.

Wookie Groomer, I just want to thank you for creating this masterpiece and making it available to the fans. I have already watched this DVD several times. It is truly a remarkable work of film history preservation. I plan on giving copies to all my friends. This DVD is a must see for SW fans everywhere. Best of luck with your future projects.

New Holiday Special DVD Covers
Time
Wow, great job ThatArtGuy! However, I was hoping you could upload this cover somewhere else, other than a newsgroup that is.

Unfortunately, being an AOL user, I can't access this newsgroup. Truthfully, I hate AOL, but my girlfriend loves it and so I'm kind of trapped for the time being.

Still, it's a fantastic cover. I'm giving my friends copies of this DVD for Christmas, so it would look really nice if I could use this festive holiday themed cover.

Thanks for the hard work.

Someone needs to make covers for "Tremors In The Force" 1+2
Time
Hey everyone and thanks for reading.

Sorry if this is off topic but I just watched the fantastic fan film collections entitled "Tremors in the Force."
If you havent seen them, and you like Fan Films, then you should pick up these two dvd's right away.

Anyway I was just hoping that someone might have already made covers for these fantastic collections?

If not, would anyone be up to the challenge? There are some very skilled people on this site and "Tremors 1+2" really deserve the full cover treatment.

MagnoliaFan Edits: Ep I "Balance Of The Force", and Ep II "The Clone War" (Released)
Time
Well, I finally saw "Balance of the Force........."

AND I LOVED IT!!!!!!!

I can't say that enough. Although I do have to say that I agree with those who complain about the language.

It's not that it offends me, it's just that it's VERY UN-STAR WARS. (Whatever that means)

However, that's the only flaw in what is the BEST creation of it's kind. I simply LOVE IT.

And so many of my friends want compies now it's ridiculous! Everyone I know, even Star Wars haters, really want to see this film. Talk about buzz.

I could go on an on about what I liked, but that would make for one long thread.

So I'll just say this, I love this film and I truly thank Magnolia Fan for his efforts. Having cut film in the past, I now that he must have spend HOURS UPON HOURS creating this masterpeice.

Thanks for everything you have done.

And please consider dropping the bad language. It just doesnt fit the Star Wars universe.

And for my money SpiderNap has made the BEST covers for Magnolia Fan's saga.

DAMN! I can't wait to see the "Clone War!"

Where's the final version?

Has anyone ever seen the Laser Disc "THX-Wow?"
Time
Up until now, I didn't even know there was a DVD of THX-WOW as well as a Laser Disc. Thanks for the infor ChrisEdge.

As far as rips of either are concerned, I would fully support the torrenting and/or sale of either item. Although I would love to have an original Laser Disc copy, I fear my LD player may not be long for this world.

If someone does decide to torrent this items, I would be happy to help power seed them for at least a couple of weeks.

Somebody needs to transfer this to DVD. Just viewing that one scene alone it worth it.

I am currently trying to buy this LD off of a dealer here in Los Angles. However, he want's $100 for it.
There was also a copy of it on ebay for $65, but it was a "buy it now" auction, and I appear to have missed the boat as they say.

My original intention was to capture it and then upload it to the web. Unfortunately, it appears my video card is now blown (discovered while I was playing emulators) and my projet may be delayed indefinately.

Did someone say they already had DVD files? I'm not sure what you mean by "VOB" files. Fill me in if you could.

Thanks guys.

I was just curious if any of you have seen this laser disc THX-Wow. It is essentialy a long trailer disc that promotes the THX audio system. Currently it is a collectible that runs for about $100 or more on eBay. I have only seen this LD once, a LONG time ago. The main reason that it sticks out in my memory is because of a scene from Empire (???) where we hear actual on set audio with Darth Vader being voiced by Dave Prowse himself.

It was an interesting sight. Being a bit of a Star Wars video freak, I'm thinking about trying to track this LD down.

Has anyone else ever seen this LD?

MagnoliaFan Edits: Ep I "Balance Of The Force", and Ep II "The Clone War" (Released)
Time
I have a question regarding the second Magnolia Fan Edit, entitled "The Clone War."

I have read elsewhere that Magnolia Fan is thinking about changing somethings in this particular edit.
Is this true and should I wait for the finished version?

Believe it or not, I'm really excited about what Magnolia Fan has done here. I really enjoyed the Phantom Edit, and it just seems from what I have read, that Magnolia Fan has gone WAY beyond anything the original "Phantom Editor" has ever done.

Thanks for reading.

Will anyone please video capture the "When Star Wars Ruled the World" Vh1 Special?
Time
Thank You eDroj!!! Thank You Thank You Thank You!

Seriously, you've made me very happy.

On the topic of Kevin Smith. I find it funny that the most memorable part in his first film is when the characters talk about another, BETTER film. That's kind of funny.

To me, his movies stink. I also thought his comments about the unmasking of Vader being a "disappointment" were incredibly stupid.

Anyway, that's just my 2 cents.

Thanks again eDroj for sharing this kick ass documentary. I will seeed, and seed, and seed.
