Video Games - a general discussion thread

I love Smash Bros. but can't seem to beat all the challenges so I can unlock that sought after Music Test. Link is my favorite character, although I'm decent with others too.

As for the ROTS game...IGN gave it a 4.5. I give it a 8.75. It's amazing. They completely ripped into it, but they are just jaded and hate Star Wars. There is nothing cooler than fighting Obi-Wan as Anakin and grabbing things in the room to throw into him before you launch him into the air with your lightsaber, slash him a dozen times before he lands, and then come down with the blade buried into his chest.

Or force grabbing a Jedi youngling, and "forcing them" to fly and impale themself onto your blade.

Seriously, the game rocks. And as for spoilers...most of the levels are scenes from the book or that were cut from the movie. There really isn't that much spoilering about it. I think it spoils it as much as the Lord of the Rings games spoiled the movies.

It's official...Riker and Troi from NextGen will be on Enterprise. What I've heard is that the episode has those two "watching" an old Enterprise mission on the holodeck.

Kinda cool idea, wonder why they've never thought of this before. Maybe that should be the new series...have two regulars "watch" and "interact" with other new characters within old missions in the holodeck.

The Temporal Cold War could have been interesting, but yeah it did suck, but what do you expect with Rick Berman behind the helm?? Seriously, I read an interview on StarTrek.com (or TrekNation or somewhere) that was talking about their plans to bring in Kirk (William Shatner). The original story pitch was that Kirk would travel back in time, meet up with Archer, and together the two of them would have been responsible for creating the alternate mirror universe. Now THAT would have been an entertaining story! However, Berman vetoed it, and offered his own "suggestion"- reveal that the "chef" from Enterprise was actually a "Kirk lookalike" that Archer would need to take forward in time so this "chef" could "pretend to be Kirk."

OK, how gay is that??? I hate Rick Berman. It's not Star Trek that sucks, it's who is in charge that sucks.

Ok, on to tonight's episode...eh, it was ok, especially for being a poor attempt at a sexual episode. However, the Mirror Universe story next week will be awesome!!!!
