The Prequel Radical Redux Ideas Thread
Time

has anyone ever been able to edit Obi-Wan vs Anakin in a way that keeps the part of the fight where they go lightsaber-less but removes the part where they’re just swinging the saber without even hitting each other?

i’ve been playing around with this idea but can’t figure a way to do it. it sucks because they’re the best and worst parts of the fight respectively imo, so i wish i could do it.

RE: rogueleader, i get what you’re saying and i actually think it’s a pretty cool idea.

i’m a bit confused as to which version is which but even though the newest ones look incredible, i prefer the more radical ones from a few days ago.

Yes, I think the more aggressive curves adjustment on the first attempt was better in the dark scenes (which comprised most of my comparisons), but I had to dial it down because it was overexposing the exterior shots. As the latest comparison shows however, the two grades are pretty similar colorwise and only need slight brightness adjustments based on the scene to work as well.

I’m not a color gradingologist, so forgive me when what I’m about to say inevitably is stupid, but how believable/good looking would it be if you had separate color grading for light and dark shots/scenes?

I don’t have a degree in gradology

i find that hard to believe. have you seen your star wars technicolor recreation? that’s some phd-level work right there.

Fuck my apartment complex’s management.

So I was significantly late on rent this month thanks to other issues that came up that required stuff like…well…bail money and an attorney. Because of this, I had to pay my rent through means other than the usual online portal. Fine, whatever.

I talked to the leasing office people and asked how much I owed (with extra fees), and if I had to pay with a cashier’s check or money order. They specifically said “either.” Went and got a money order today because it’s slightly cheaper, and brought it to them…

…only to be told, oh, no, we don’t accept money orders in any capacity and haven’t for years, it absolutely has to be a cashier’s check.

So now I don’t know what the fuck to do. I guess I lucked out that I hadn’t yet filled out the “Pay to” part of the money order, so I can just fill in my own name(?) or a friend’s and get the cash back that way, then use it to buy a cashier’s check, but I seriously shouldn’t have to do this. I’d understand (maybe) if the money order was issued from a gas station, but it’s from Chase Bank. And they won’t accept it? Are you fucking kidding me?

well, that sucks. have you figured it out?

It is too vague. I think they’re implying calls for genocide, calls for violence, or things of that nature. Either way, that’s a problem with hate speech laws in general, not C-16.

My understanding for why it’s vague is that if it’s well defined, it becomes easier to loophole either as prosecution or defendant. The law is worded such the way it is so that a judge and Jury can determine whether or not a particular incident falls under hate speech without having to set precedent.

this.
