Had this idea for awhile, added some Palpatine dialogue to Kylo’s vision at start of film, might not have been placed in the best place but I think it could work somewhere.

Doesn’t work for tone of fight neither would a full duel of the fates, I’d like to see another small allusion to Battle of the heroes, same way of what was done with DOTF from Solo.

I think that little scene is better without music. In this movie, having points like that to just have a little gag outside the main action without music helps a little to slow the pace. I hope I’m not being petty but I think it was a good call not to score that moment in the first place.
By no means do I know what I am doing, that theme was for Jar Jar, R2/3PO. I just appreciate John William’s music more than anyone. Feels like a big miss on this edit that not much is being done music wise in my opinion not saying things should be rescored just more could be implemented, this is honestly the best Rise Of Skywalker edit out there.

Think this works as a nice call back to EP1, tried to make it subtle; I personally just really wanted a bunch of little music ques from prequels in this last film.
I’d rather just leave it how it is this feels like too much.
I agree it’s quite a change but it helps with giving a meaning to the fight imo.

Hey guys ! I understand why you would like to use DOTF during this fight since it was in the advertisement for the movie but imo, it isn’t really fitting story-wise. To me the purpose of this fight is to show Rey’s descent towards the dark side with her eventually stabbing a weaponless Kylo. So I made a quick try to rescore the scene with this “Dark Rey” theme made by Levente Kovacs on YT and I really like how it turned out. What do you think ?

Well, there’d be that snippet followed by a long gap with no music, another DOTF snippet, then the existing score. I think it’d be better with just what you’ve already done.
the gap isn’t that big and could be filled with the right music if found.
What do you think of this small allusion I added to Rey v Kylo, currently theres not enough during the fight in my opinion but I think snippets like this work really well and adds to the scene.

I don’t know about Jabba’s palace. It would imply it’s around the block from the Lars homestead. Prior, it could be on any part of the planet. I don’t think it’d be good to squish it into frame here.
I mean the falcon is the fastest ship in the galaxy, doesn’t mean its right by it.

Would be nice to replace the music when Knights Of Ren arrive in this clip with something more memorable/interesting, theres currently just a generic random theme thats only in TROS that I wasn’t much of a fan of.

For that sequence I think it would be better if it was arranged in order of the destroyers placement in the sky, so we would follow it as it falls to the ground.
Coruscant - Bespin - Naboo - Jakku.
Bespin being first fits with the soundtrack well, and to the guy who said Tatooine needs to be there we already get it later in the film so it seems absolutely pointless - Kajimmi deserves no place in this lol.
That Naboo shot is the best one so far. Maybe a tad slower for the star destroyer and a little less opacity?
