I might even consider something like Hannibal to be “magical realism” in the more academic sense (theoretically takes place in the real world, but much of it is metaphorically presented or just consisting of entirely implausible/impossible scenarios), but it’s not actually sci-fi or fantasy in any traditional sense.

Maybe “heightened reality” would be a better term for that one.

Star Wars Despecialized Editions - Custom Bluray Set (Released)

There won’t really be a DNR of 4K83 the way there was with 4K77 - the grain level on the print is very mild, so there isn’t really a need.

The closest is the ISO Blu-Ray release, which has light DNR, light sharpening, and a mild contrast/color adjustment applied compared to the MKV releases. Plus the reel change markers are removed, like the 4K77 DNR.

I think there might have been a 4K MKV of the ISO “pseudo-DNR” version released but don’t quote me on that.

And maybe try actually engaging with the community. You know, participate in discussions, give suggestions and opinions, that sort of thing.

As it is, every single post you’ve made is either “link to edit please” or an apparent accidental post where you meant to say “link to edit please.” Including on threads where it’s very clear that the edit isn’t finished, which shows that you aren’t even trying to look for any relevant information, just spamming “give me stuff” everywhere.

And of course, it is heartbreaking that Carrie couldn’t film her last performance as Leia, but it is likely that Leia still would’ve been behind the scenes mostly, and I feel they will be able to fulfill whatever necessary role she was meant to fill with the extra footage they have. They seemed pretty confident that they have enough material (and aren’t they lucky they decided to cut a lot of her TFA scenes?). As long as they have enough for a few moments with the Resistance, and maybe one moment related to Ben/Kylo Ren, I think that will be enough. And by her playing a supporting role, it gives us more time for the young heroes to drive the story and be on screen together for the final film.

I think it’s going to be a little jarring for me to see Carrie Fisher’s unused footage from TFA in Ep. IX. I really didn’t like what they did to her in TFA. Her main jumpsuit costume was not flattering and they pulled her face back so tight to try and get rid of any sagging or wrinkles that she could barely move her mouth. They treated her a lot better in TLJ. She looked much more natural.

I just don’t think they’ll be able to convince me that any coverage of her belongs in the movie. But maybe I’ll be pleasantly surprised.

I 100% guarantee you that unused TLJ footage will be mined as well, not just TFA. They just specifically called out TFA in the announcement because Abrams directed it and IX.

Dune - radical fan edit <strong>ideas</strong>
Time

Honestly, Spence’s movie edit of the miniseries is my favorite version of Dune that currently exists. Just remember that due to its low budget, it was filmed and staged like a play and not a movie - the idea being that it would be clear that it was overly stylized would compensate for the low budget, but it didn’t seem to work for most people, since the “cheapness” was the biggest complaint about it.

Children of Dune (adapts both Dune Messiah and Children of Dune) went with a more traditional filming style and I think was a bit better received because of it.

Google Drive isn’t too expensive for additional data - I pay $2/month for something like 100GB, which is enough for my purposes.

And Blutopia is overly strict even for a private tracker. I’d be surprised if my account hasn’t been deactivated from disuse by now, honestly. You must seed uninterrupted for 14 days after snatching something, with very limited leeway for downtime, and VPN use is prohibited entirely? Come on, guys, I have one laptop that I take back and forth to and from work, and I can’t exactly seed from work, and certainly not without a VPN if I even wanted to risk it.

Get rid of the ! at the beginning of your link. It makes Markdown think you’re embedding a photo and thus breaks the link.

Thank you very much. I was not sure about how to post images on this fourm. I will get to fixing that link in around an hour when I get home. Btw how do you post images what programs/code do you use to get it in to OT.com?

Oh, okay. If you’re trying to embed an image, keep the ! but get rid of everything inside the brackets, and make sure the URL in the parentheses is to an actual image (ending in something like .jpg or .png). You’ll have to do this one at a time for each image you’re looking to embed.

I don’t care which is more accurate, but eyebrows convey so much emotion. People without them look pretty alien, so having the redeemed Vader in his only real scene with them heightens the emotions Shaw gives off.

Hmm, this makes sense and is something I hadn’t considered.
