Evangelion anime Project (Released)

So I do have a copy of the bonus disc that came with Renewal, but it has no subtitles and I don't speak a word of Japanese. What I really need here is someone to potentially translate/subtitle the Genesis 0:0 programs on the disc for me. That way I could include it on the special features disc and not have it be completely useless to English-speaking-only fans. Is there anyone out there who would be able to do this, or knows where I can find a copy of it already translated?

Evangelion anime Project (Released)
Time

Greetings everyone,
For the past couple of weeks I have been acquiring materials like crazy in order to put together a special features DVD for the anime show Neon Genesis Evangelion. There are lots of details I could put up here, but I decided to wait and see if there is any interest on this forum before I do so. Mainly, it will comprise fan made music videos/parodies, official commercials/trailers, and interviews/documentaries with cast/crew. So please let me know if anyone is interested in the project.

Info: Can Anyone Vouch For....
Time
Thanks for the responses guys. And after having thought it over, I don't think I'll be getting this. My first thought was that it would be ok, since these sites were advertising on Google, and it was a tv show that will probably never see an official release. But then I realized that if they are selling bootlegs of other stuff, too, then I shouldn't be trusting them with my money anyway.

Info: Can Anyone Vouch For....
Time

Hi all,

The television series “The Paper Chase” was one of my dad’s all time favorites, but it is not available on dvd and will probably never be released. That being said, I have found three websites that sell it (mostly likely tv rips or something) on dvd-r’s. I was thinking about getting this for my dad for his upcoming birthday.

So, can anyone vouch for the reliability / quality / won’t abuse my credit card / will actually send the product to me, of any of the following sites: ***********.com, *********.tv, or ***************.tv? [Removed names of websites selling bootlegs - M]

Any help anyone can give me would be greatly appreciated.

Two More Questions about Using Womble
Time
Hi there, everyone.
So I successfully spliced together my first fan-edit, which was just a real basic "Phantom Menace" edit. Here are two of my questions. First, I seem to have lost the subtitles (for example when Greedo speaks after he fights Anakin). Anyone know how to keep them? Second, near the end of the movie everything got very pixelated and jerky. The disc looked flawless with no scratches or smudges. Could this have been caused during the encode of the movie? Any ideas on how to remedy this?
Thanks in advance for everyone's help.

I have to agree with this. If you already gave the studio your money to see the film in the theater, to buy the vhs, buy the laserdisc, and buy the dvd, why are you not allowed to download an otherwise unavailable high-definition version of the movie? Once the 25th anniversary collection comes out, by all means drop the Blade Runner seeding, but until that time are we not allowed to watch a beloved film in the best possible manner?

Phineasbg/ HIGHLANDER II: Extended Versions (Released)
Time
I agree with cutting out the incessant laughter of Katana's henchmen. Also, either edit down or remove his insane subway ride. I have to disagree and say leave ALL of Ramirez's scenes in tact. He is the only comic relief in the movie, and has more charisma than any other character. To remove any of his scenes (or parts of them) would be a crime.

ADM,
I just watched your Pearl Harbor edit last night and I have to agree with everything Boon23 said. You did an amazing job removing the awful love story. The pacing of the first half of the movie is so much better and much more enjoyable. The only problem I think was when Ben Affleck suddenly appears in Hawaii. At first he is thought dead, then a letter is received saying he is not, and then suddenly he is in Hawaii. It didn't flow well, but I imagine it was necessary to remove the love story. Actually, removing the love story improved the film in a way you probably hadn't anticipated, and that is, there is so much less of Ben Affleck. The guy can't act, and with less of him, the movie is easier to watch. The second half of the movie (though not at all your fault) is where things get really bogged down. It seemed like the attack on Pearl Harbor was over and then the breakneck pacing slowed to a crawl. Here we are immersed in hokey Alec Baldwin speeches, an overly long training montage, and unrealistic cheese like, "Any man who wants to go, please step forward" and of course they all do. These problems are Michael Bay's and not your own. As I watched the movie I continuously thought, "Wow, ADM has done an amazing job." The edits are perfect, you don't see them at all, and the choices for what to remove were well planned. You have improved this movie 300%. Still, I have to gripe and say that it is not a good war movie. Michael Bay just didn't do the story of Pearl Harbor justice. He should have spent two hours on the attack and direct aftermath. Instead he wasted time focused on Ben Affleck's character as he goes to England (where, I think, the Eagle Squadron didn't even exist), then Hawaii, and then the Doolittle Raid. The movie was about Affleck's one-dimensional character and not about Pearl Harbor at all. That is what irks me the most. Anyway, ADM, I just want to say you have done an outstanding job in turning a movie that deserves an F into one that should get a B. Kudos and keep up the fantastic work.

Star Wars DVD Covers

OCP, I was wondering if you (or anyone really) could scan a high res poster (done in artwork not a photo) for Episode III? Textless would be nice but not a necessity. Truth be told, I'm not too fond of the front cover of my Ep.III, and would love to use something a little different. I'm not a big enough fan to buy the book, though. Just a thought.

Here's the spine spanner:
http://i44.photobucket.com/albums/f40/BrikHaus81/bannerdemo.jpg

Here's what I've been working on, it is simply a Star Wars Posters Edition of covers. Basically, the front and back feature two different posters, and the back lists no features, only the opening crawl from each film. The purpose of this was that people could essentially use these covers for any of the myriad of fan edits out there. Also, I have a spine spanning image of Luke vs. Darth Vader. I've already encountered some flak because this "ignores" the prequel trilogy. I chose this image not to ignore epsI-III, but because when most people think of Star Wars they usually think of Luke or Vader, not Padme, Qui-Gon, Count Dooku, or whoever. Besides, isn't Star Wars as a whole about the turn to evil (becoming Vader) and eventual redemption of Anakin Skywalker? Anyway, here's a preview of what I've done. Let me know what you think and where I could do some improving. Thanks.
