That was something that Jay had posted a while ago in another thread. That news on Digitalbits.com was gleaned from a post on theforce.net that came from an e-mail request for coverage from TF.n from, I believe, Rebel Scumb on this site. So, while it's new information for the Bits and TF.n, it's old news here. It was included in the letter to give it more weight and greater likelihood of being posted on those sites. It worked.

No please, go ahead and dice it up. The problem with me doing it once is that this letter really should be tailor made to the site you're sending it to. If you have a webmaster's name or another critic's name, fill it in the blank. If you know of their title or if they are the premier something or other (Greg Dean Schmitz of Yahoo Upcoming Movies is the premier distributor of movie rumor information, for example), then change the statement about Ebert being one of the most respected critics around to fit this fact. Change the letter so you're doing a little "sucking up" without making it obvious. Just be respectful of the person you are sending this to and don't make it sound like you are too terribly desperate, but you want their help because you know that if they support you, it will very clearly help the cause.

Thanks for the kudos, Jay. Means a lot. Really. And, while I admit that many of my posts do drip with sarcasm, this comment is not.

Just remember all, if you do use this letter, you will have to tailor it to who you are sending it to. Obviously, remove references to the name Ebert or his position as a film critic, the ref to the Chicago Sun-Times, etc.

Yeah, but if one country doesn't produce their own product and they are forced to import it from outside their borders (likely outside their continent), then there is higher demand than say in the U.S. or Japan. Manufacturers can increase prices if they so desire and resellers within the importing country can jack the prices up to stratospheric levels because they know their customers have no other place from which to purchase these products. Yes, he could have bought off the internet, but motti told us that there are pretty big taxes and stuff levied on him when he orders from websites outside his country. Either way, he's screwed.
