He's, totally, like this dude who seems to have, like, gotten on the news lately. I think he, like, ran some country in, like, the Middle Eastern U.S. or something, dude. But he looks so totally raggedy now. I think he's, like, gonna be a contestant on, like, A Makeover Story or, like, that Queer Eye show. Totally Righteous!

Sorry, just had to go valley girl on that one.

Discussion: Funniest Ebay Auction!
Time
Oh, it's very wrong. But what better way to appeal to people than by using sex as a selling point. View Askew does it with auctions of props and memorabilia from Kevin Smith's films. They have a girl from their NJ offices who dresses skimpily and poses with the items. The big difference being that Amy Noble (from View Askew) is actually a very beautiful woman compared to the one on these auctions.

Sky Captain and the World of tomorrow!!! Seen the Trailer?!?
Time
Wow! Just watched the trailer. How did this one completely slip under the radar? I haven't heard word one about this movie until this thread. And it's not as though this is some low-budget film with no-name stars. We're talking Jude Law, Gwyneth Paltrow, and Angelina Jolie. That's a pretty high profile cast.

As for the film itself, it looks incredible. It's like Star Wars meets The Phantom or The Rocketeer or some such.

I can't wait.

Wanted: Replacement Vinyl Capes
Time
I doubt that will happen. How long's it been since the vinyl capes were produced by Kenner? Far too long. And Kenner's old replacement policy is no longer in effect since they were bought out by Hasbro. Not that it would be in effect anyway this late after the fact. As for ordering, it would be far too easy for people to have a "perfect" collection if the company allowed orders of replacement parts for their old figures. That would drive the value of these figures so far down that the allure of collecting them would be gone.

I say try your local comic book store. You never know what you'll find there.
