EVERYTHING HARRY POTTER

ST3K, we're not trying to be jackasses and kick you out or anything. We just want this to stay respectful of the series and be a place for fans. If you have constructive or (God forbid) positive things to say about HP, then do so. Just don't go slamming the series when you have yet to finish a book or watch an entire movie (you were only partway through either, right?) in order to make an informed decision.

***SPOILER ALERT***

It also would have helped give a little more meaning to seeing them standing together at Aragorn's crowning ceremony.

DVDs of 2004?
Time
Been meaning to get Aliens. Happy I didn't buy it first week because, as it turns out, it wasn't even on sale. Regular price of US$20 even in the first week of release. I was at Sam's Club (wholesale outlet owned by Wal-Mart - which does not sell walls) the other day and they had the Quadrilogy for US$67. Not bad, but I still don't know if I want to spend it.

Worst Movies of 2003

Well, he opted to not put the blatantly obvious movies on there like From Justin to Kelly, Kangaroo Jack, et al. Save for Gigli which he said he included because it made Affleck seem even worse since Daredevil was already on there. So he had space to fill. Would've like to have seen a whole top 10 worst of list. He did a top 10 best films. ROTK was #1. For the past three years, the LOTR movies have been #1 on his lists. And he was never a fan of the stories before. Never read the books, doesn't want to. Goes to show that you don't need an understanding of the books to enjoy the films.

Oh, I absolutely do hear them called geeks or freaks or just plain losers for actually tuning in to Kevin Sorbo in bad sci fi. I don't agree that Andromeda is more widespread. Nor is Stargate. Just because they have a television series and a minor cult following does not make them more widespread. If they were more widespread, tehy wouldn't be relegated to UPN or WB or whatever piddly little piggyback network they're on. Wait, sorry, Stargate is on SciFi. I do not consider that "piddly". I actually have great respect for SFC. I take that last comment back. Partially, at least. And, no, watching those shows is not usually considered "normal". It is normally considered akin to one of the rings of scifi and geek hell. I dunno who you are talking to that don't consider it geeky (viewers of the show, I'm assuming), but most of the people I've been talking to about it today in response to this thread do consider it "geek".
