by this definition, i would say that it could go both ways.

Ah, but taken in context, it's not a sequel because the OT was made first. It did not "follow" any preexisting work because it was the preexisting work. ESB is a sequel to ANH. ROTJ is a sequel to both ANH and ESB. On the whole, the PT is a prequel to the OT.

Back to the Future V2?
Time
There was a framing problem on the widescreen version. Instead of going back to the original footage to make widescreen copies, they took the already cut down pan and scan and then added black bars to the top and bottom to make it appear widescreen. So a ton of the original viewing area was shot. I think it only affected one of the three movies and I want to say it was #2.

I thought that all the copies that were currently in distribution were the new version. BTTF came out in November/December 2002 on DVD and they decided to rectify the situation after Christmas had passed so as not to miss out on any holiday sales. So they should have taken care of getting new copies out in January/February 2003 with replacement discs sent out to owners of the bad set by the middle of 2003. I never knew that you could look for v2 on the barcode to tell the difference. Will have to check that out.

What's even more curious, Shimraa, is if you even read your own thread. If you did, you would have seen that I was not the first to mention Kutcher. Read, boy. Read.

And, no, I didn't read the essays because Chaos Theory does not interest me. I've read about it before and it bores me. Back when Jurassic Park came out and Goldblum's character kept going on about Chaos Theory. I read some stuff then and it was just plain weird.

It was video editing assignment using now antiquated Adobe Premiere crap. They had to do it on PC and they kept crashing despite being brand new computers (my own little jab. sorry.). They were supposed to pick out a song, edit it down to two minutes and then add preexisting video footage to it. They were also supposed to include basic transition effects. But they had to worry about pacing of edits, making sure to get enough different clips in there so it doesn't look like they just took a giant 2 minute chunk of video and threw it together with audio. Some turned out great, some were crap.

One guy used Rush's "Tom Sawyer" with footage of Luke Skywalker from each of the three movies, primarily ROTJ though.

True on the no screeners policy. However, screeners were used in the past to determine the nominations as well (to the best of my recollection). So, the fact that these people were nominated despite the no-screener policy is still pretty big. And Whale Rider is out on video now anyway, so it would be easy enough for someone to see it.
