Probably one of the smartest marketing moves I've heard of from the Hollywood realm.

Any particular reason why?

Either that, or he smelted them down for C-3PO's new costume to cut back on costs.

Why bother with that? Just use the old costume and digitally erase all imperfections it may have.

He pulls a shotgun... you replace it with a walkie talkie. He falls down a shaft... you digitally insert a fake scream. That's the Lucas way. That's how you make a movie.

(with apologies to Sean Connery and his Oscar-winning role; and, yes, I realize I am making reference to a Spielberg flick in there and not just Lucas stufff, but it is my belief that Lucas influenced Spielberg in the reediting of ET)

SE Trilogy DVDs' covers
Time
I doubt there will be another VHS release. Only thing that will come out on VHS will be Ep3 so that those who already have 1 and 2 can complete the series. All full trilogy releases of either the PT or the OT will be in DVD and nothing else, I'm sure (unless some new media format comes out). There is very little money in VHS anymore. Very few stores still carry it in any substantial amount.

Sin City: The Movie

Okay, it's time to move this out of the Daredevil thread (or whatever thread it was in, I can't remember) and into one of its own. Especially after finding this little tidbit...

Leo, Bruce, Elijah Seduced by 'Sin'
By Chris Gardner

LOS ANGELES (Hollywood Reporter) - Filmmaker Robert Rodriguez is packing up a U-Haul with a host of top talent in hopes that they'll move into "Sin City."

According to multiple sources, Leonardo DiCaprio, Bruce Willis, Elijah Wood, Mickey Rourke, Brittany Murphy, Kate Bosworth and Jaime King have been targeted for the Dimension Films project, an adaptation of Frank Miller's graphic novel series. Some of the actors have already signed on for parts, while others are only in discussions or have just received offers to join the cast.

Other names being bandied about include Benicio Del Toro and Maria Bello, though offers had not yet gone out to either as of late Wednesday. Set to start shooting shortly, "Sin City" will be composed of three intertwining vignettes revolving around a dark set of characters that call the fictional corrupt town home.

Lose Brittany Murphy from that list and I could be a happy camper. Bosworth and King I have no immediate feelings one way or another. Might be good to see them in something different. Murphy just kinda annoys me.
