I agree it is not the majority. Bush didn't have it either. A "majority" is defined as 50% of the vote +1. Given the third party candidate last election and the margin of error, both of the major party candidates had under 50%. No majority of the popular vote, is it? He had "more"... that is all. It was enough. But you cannot use the word majority here.

Ric, the idea of GL posting Hayden's head on Shaw's body has been floating around for some time. And it has been stated it would just be his head that was digitally inserted, not an entire body. Bits is generally pretty reliable. Other message boards are not. Bits doesn't post fanboy rumors or creations. They tend to check things out pretty thoroughly. Not that they haven't made mistakes, but they are very few and very far between.

Yes, but how is appearing in the cartoon in the first place something that you'd expect from "the most brilliant mind in the world today"? Why not milk it for all it's worth? If nothing else, he gains a whole new audience and can ideally enlighten them as well.

I hated Hannibal the book and movie. Period. End of quote. Loved everything else Thomas Harris has written (all three other books - talk about your non-prolific authors... 4 novels in 25 years).

As for the PKD books/movies... Yes, Blade Runner is based on "Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep?" (thanks for the copy, Gun) and Total Recall is based on "We Can Remember it For You Wholesale." Don't forget that Paycheck is also based on a PKD novel as are Imposter, Confessions of a Crap Artist (Confessions d'un Barjo), and Screamers. Plus the 1994 Drug Taking and the Arts is based on A Scanner Darkly which is also being remade next year using its actual title.
