Yeah, and I don't exactly go rushing out to buy 13-disc SD-DVD sets. Biggest DVD set I have is six discs and most of those were purchased used.

Also, despite the same manufacturing, I doubt that HD-DVDs will be the same price as SD-DVDs when they come out. They're gonna cash in. Won't be too much more because they will want it to catch on, but they will want to make their money off the early adopters. It will be much like when SD-DVD first rolled out. Eventually they will drop in price, but not right away.

Chaltab, I was also wondering how the kids got the masks. As for Spidey taking it off so often.... the first was necessary as it seemed about ready to melt to his skin. The second time (with Ock) was simply because he realized that the only way to appeal to Ock's humanity was by appearing as a person and not a man hiding behind a mask. Especially when that person appealing to him is one he already knows and has a semi-friendly relationship with. I am more than willing to forgive the revealing of his face.

SPOILER ALERT!!!!

One reviewer I read (and he's the only one to bring it up) thought that it was possible that something might come from the Russian girl from Pete's apartment complex. She had a minor role, but it was more than just some insignificant bit part. He was suggesting that she might become Black Cat. She obviously likes Peter. And, who knows, maybe she will be revealed as having been in the background watching when MJ showed up at Pete's in the wedding gown. She's gonna be the unrequited love case in the story. No, it doesn't follow the comic book. But only some of what we've seen in the movies thus far truly has. What do you guys think? Or did I mention this already and forgot about it completely?

Battle Royale is spectacular. Good to hear someone else caught on to that relatively unknown Japanese pulp gem.

But if you tell them that you're doing it for the sole purpose of being able to effectively argue against the lies and ethical atrocities committed by Michael Moore, I'm sure they'd understand. Tell them that a bunch of guys in a forum are calling you a pompous, self-involved ignoramus for trying to argue a point with no knowledge of the counterpoint and see if that works. Could work.

I know you are against bootlegging (so am I), but you'll be helping the conservative cause by not giving money to Moore. That should justify it. Plus, if you are taken to court for aiding and abetting online bootlegging, just pray you have a conservative judge and plead your case.

Changes in 2004 DVDs

I thought I read somewhere that Han is not supposed to be stepping on his tail anymore. We shall see.

The reason why the SE Jabba is so bad to me is because he looks so different than ROTJ Jabba. And there is only a difference of four years between each appearance. SE Jabba looks more like the PT Jabba which is expected because they used roughly the same effects. However, I think seeing a big difference in Jabba from the PT to the SE is more acceptable than from ANH: SE to ROTJ because of the elapsed time between each. With so many years from TPM to ANH, it's understandable that Jabba's appearance can change that dramatically. But in four years to have changed that much? I doubt it. Jabba ain't using Weight Gainer 3000. I mean, he's nice and big and comfortable with his size in ROTJ. But he looks much thinner and gaunt in ANH. That's a helluvalot of crabs (or whatever is in his feed bucket) to have eaten to gain that kinda weight. Know what I mean?

But any debate teacher would tell you that you cannot effectively argue one side of the coin without having experienced the other side. All you are going on is what other anti-Moore-ites are saying because I doubt you've read anything that supports Moore and his movie. So you are spewing your own propaganda culled from everyone else's propagandistic agendas.

Here's an idea for you, Jimbo... you hate Moore so much, go online and download his movie. This way, you get to see it and can effectively argue your points, plus you're taking money away from him by getting a bootleg copy. I'm sure Ric will point you in the right direction to get one. We win because you will be arguing your point having researched both sides and you win because your arguments will be taken more seriously and you have damaged the Moore camp by going bootleg on his ultra-liberal ass.

Motti and dayv are missing
Time
For anyone with a vested interest in the Mangler Brothers, dayv is alive and well. He called me up on Saturday. He's got personal issues to attend to and should have a phone line installed by the end of this week and be back online. We should be hearing from him very soon. His plan is to post a message in every thread once he's back to reestablish his numbers (and his lead on Shimraa ).

Still dunno about motti, though.
