In Memoriam: jimbo September 2003 - October 2004

Yes, but what is the purpose of gay bashing in a Star Wars forum? If he was posting at neonaziskinheads.com, I could understand it. But he's at a Star Wars forum and he's being a bigoted jackass. It's completely uncalled for. And don't say he was provoked. Nothing that was said to him would reasonably result in a violent outburst against homosexuality and the accusing of others on this forum of being gay.

I miss out on the Star Wars discourse with Jimbo, too. He was a good counterpoint. But he needs to learn how to do it without getting mean spirited. If it was a formal debate and he pulled that kind of crap, he would have been automatically booted.

I saw that bit on IMDb as well. Topher Grace would be an interesting Jimmy Olson, but I could do without Mischa Barton as Lois Lane. She's been so overexposed in the media lately that I'm getting a bit tired of her. Now her OC castmate? Hmmm...

As for Brandon Routh...

Reminds me of a younger James Caviezel who was campaigning pretty heavily for the role as well. I guess they're doing the same thing that Warner is doing with Batman... younger, maybe some backstory. Who knows?

Not that I wouldn't mind a Criterion Collection copy of The Silence of the Lambs, but I believe that would unweight the equality of our trading, don't you?

Most of the DVDs I want are more expensive than what I would be sending you.

But one thing I am looking for if you can find for roughly the same price is that Prozzak album. I'm addicted to that song Luke e-mailed me and I want to hear more and can't find it anywhere here in the States. Maybe, since you said they are Canadian, you can find it there and relatively inexpensively. I'll even take a used copy if it's in good shape.

Don't forget that it's been officially renamed "8 Simple Rules". Yes, this is how it was abbreviated before. But now the title is official. There is still some male influence in the show with James Garner and, to a lesser degree, David Spade. None will ever be as overprotective as the late, great John Ritter, but both have been pretty decent additions and Garner's character is pretty good.
