I must disagree. The Friday the 13th box set was released as a series of slim line snap cases, but one of the reviews I read about the set discussed the poor quality of those cases. The slim design is too thin, and the discs have trouble staying secured inside. Gave me the impression that the slim cases are a cheap, low-quality alternative to the standard Amaray cases, so I'm grateful they went with the latter.

I have several box sets that use the slim line snap cases and I've never had a problem. Seinfeld seasons 1 and 2, Family Guy volumes 1 and 2, and a couple others. No problems with breakage whatsoever. And the discs have no problems that I've seen snapping on the spindle. If anything, the spindle is sturdier than most larger cases as those spindles have the thin plastic flays (dunno what else to call them) that tend to break off much like CD packaging. The slim line cases have a solid hub that have small knobs that the disc snaps over. Never breaks. Although after some time the knobs may wear down, I suppose. But by that same logic, the hubs in larger cases would likely break before the knobs of a slim line wear down.

Just my two Lincolns.

Except I'm seeing this as more of a Raiders of the Lost Ark and Star Wars colliding. It looks like the Death Star, yes. But much like the "engraving" of the headpiece to the Staff of Ra that was burned into Toht's hand, the equator is the reverse of the Death Star and they likely don't have the other half of the moon "correct" as a result.

Jedi Mystic - "The markings on dis half of the Death Star says dat the Rebel Base is located near Yavin-6. But dis side says to take back 2 for the great Wookiee Life Day Celebration."
Indiana Jones - "Sallah, you said the Death Star that the Empire built only has an equator on one side, right?"
Sallah - "Yes. Why?"
Indiana - "They only have half the message!"
Sallah and Indiana together - "They're going to destroy the wrong moon!"

Sorry. It's a weird day. And it's still early...

Not a printing problem. I found out it was in the initial design phase. The guy who designed it has used the photo before and tried to make it appear different by simply reversing it. This is usually a good way to do it, but not here.

It's a case of both being lazy and falling into a routine. When you proofread enough stuff, your eyes and brain gloss over a bit. Usually, you just look at text, so not noticing a photo can be explained that way... you are so worried about content, you don't look at design.

Okay, here's something I hate. I work in public relations as a graphic designer and we have a system for proofreading that is pretty intense to make sure that all publications that come from where I work meet a certain standard. Some departments still decide to outsource just because of how overloaded our department can sometimes become. Well, here's the part that I hate. The stuff that is outsourced obviously doesn't go through our proofreading circuit. I just looked at one piece that was produced and has already been sent out and I noticed that a photo on the cover of the piece was reversed. Not too big a deal if the guy in the photo wasn't wearing a sweatshirt with our name on it...backwards.
