FAN EDIT REQUEST THREAD - Post your dream Fan Edits Here!

That would be neat. Emmy Rossum and her lowcut dresses can stay though. =)

(This is sounding like a better and better idea to me. Some creative editing could fix some of Schumacher's more uninspired camera angles and lighting - if a closer shot is needed on a too-wide shot, one could grab the pan & scan version and letterbox that, to get a closer take ... chromakey and filters could make any colored lighting more subtle ...)

Please, if you are considering this, that would be awesome. I've been after a visual performance of Phantom with Crawford in the starring role, any that were available have long been deleted. This would be the next best option and the idea is utterly fantastic.

I like the different colour titles and banners, you should keep it like that. Or at least if you make it all one colour, keep these as an available option for those that want it. What are you doing about the text/content description on the back of the cover? If you could just have it as basic as possible so it can be used for any set, that would be great.

But yes, keep the multi-colour sets, it makes everything stand out that lil' bit more.

Can someone link me to those files directly? For some reason when I click on the file links, the window starts to open and then closes again. There's a problem with Java somewhere as Azureus refuses to work also

A few requests here, I'm needing covers for the:

Dark Jedi pan & scan set
OCP Special Edition Hype

Also, I have the Dark Jedi Definitive Collection set, is there specific art for this, or will any DC cover set do?

I've got both of Rikters covers DVDs, couldn't see them on there thogh. Can anyone help me out?

Ell the Ewok made a nice landscape-style cover (well, the front of it is lanscape at least....) for OCP's Special Edition Hype.

I dont want to use his bandwith by posting the cover, but you can find it fairly easily by going to his site (to go there, click HERE )..then click on the tab for "Dvd covers" and go all the way down. It is in the right hand column. Click on the preview to get the full size one.

As for some of the others..I'm not sure if there are specific covers out there for them...if not, then I would recommend either some of the stuff by Coov, Ell (take a look at what he has to offer while picking up "SEH"), or Darth Solo's Manga Covers. All of which can be found in this thread.

Hope that helps you out man

That's great, thanks.

Ong-Bak: Thai Warrior Original Version

This isn't a fan edit, it is simply a reencoding of the Hong Kong Edko release (with added Eng subs) because it is the only original version of the film in NTSC format, aside from the R3 Korean release (which I have not seen personally). The R1 "Luc Besson" version is a modified, recut version with different music and sound effects and I wanted to be able to offer the original film to those who might be interested. I have not been able to get uploader status at myspleen, so I will need someone who has it to post this for me. I will be glad to send out a free DVDR to anyone who can help.

Can't help with the uploading I'm afraid, I don't have upload status either. Really am looking forward to watching this. I think I actually tried to do it myself once I got the Edko release, can't remember why I gave up though.

Info Wanted: Superbit?
Time

The bulk of the Superbit DVDs are released in the U.S. and Europe, the only reason Jurassic Park got a Superbit disc was while in the U.S and Europe it's distributed by Universal/ Amblin, in Japan Sony/ Columbia have the deal for distribution, hense the Superbit release there. Why they can't put produce GhostBusters Superbit as Columbia have the Worldwide right to it, I don't know, but it's fucking annoying.

Click here for disc comparision. The R1 Superbit has superb picture quality while the R2 Ultimate Edition has a full bit-rate DTS track, there's no mention of the Superbit having this.

I've been slowly trying to collect all the Superbit editions, but the R2 UE of The Fifth Element got my vote, mainly for the DTS track.

My next Superbit purchases will be the legit Japanese versions of the Ghostbusters twinpack and the Jurassic Park Trilogy, but these'll be a long way off for me as they were only produced in a limited quantity and sell for $100-$200 per disc on eBay.

Help: looking for... Harry Potter extended cuts
Time
So the pay it forward plan is as follows:

Malbie will post them to me, I will run off copies for myself, and then send them forward to Max_Rebo. DrVenkman, if you can PM your address to Max, he will post them on to you.

I hope everyone is fine with this.

I'm not sure about Malbie, but it appears that everyone else is in the UK, so turnaround for myself to DrVenkman should be no more than a fortnight.

Anyone else who wants these, should add their name to this thread, or PM the last known person who's set to receive them.
