The Dream of the Giant Fractal Woodlouse.
Time

Last night I had one of those classic, ‘dreaming that you wake up’ dreams.
In the dream I wake up and make my bed. I then go downstairs I walk to the far end of the hallway. The electricity is out so I am in pitch darkness. I suddendly bump into a giant but still unseen humanoid form. 7 or 8ft tall. The being shunts me towards the door with its body weight alone, it never lays hands on me. I try to talk to it but get no reply. Just being pushed along. In fear I wake up. Only I still havent really woken up. Im back in a house which is nothing like my real home but using dream logic I know it is my home somehow. I can hear loud electrical sparks from the garden. There is a work bench. A wired device that looks like cylindrical drill or an electrical screwdriver is overloading. I open the sliding glass doors to the garden and carefully switch off the powerpoint from a free standing console. For some reason the previously empty garden is full of covered workbenches and each has somebody working away with a handtool on some project. One guy, a Canadian with wavy white hair and a beard asks if I switched off the malfunctioning power point and explains that he had tried to earlier but he could get close enough. I then wake up with my alarm…or do I?

SSWR's Attack of the Clones - Alternate Timeline Edit (WIP)
Time

SSWR has done this before. Maybe he has a lot on his plate. Things happen out of the blue. I hope he is well. I really enjoy our conversations. He has developed his skills greatly over the years. AOTC is the most problematic prequel. Not as disappointing as TPM but narratively much more important. It needs the sort of work SSWR was doing like no other Star Wars film does… And he is a good friend.

The Acolyte - The Spence Edit
Time

I’ve just finished watching and while it isn’t perfect it was clearly tarketed by the AntiWoke brigade. I would remove the established characters completely and go for a more linear approach if I were to turn it into a movie. Some of the younger Jedi give less than stellar performances. I would trim them out. The senator subplot goes nowhere so I’d remove that. Remove all location names. It was so off putting.

The Prequel Radical Redux Ideas Thread
Time

EddieDean said:

I think what you may be unaware of TDS is that everyone starts out with ideas, but it’s important to measure those against practicality. As a rule, it’s found that most of the work gets done here by people deciding ‘I’m going to do that myself’ rather than ‘Can someone else make this idea work?’ There are lots of free programs, and free teaching, that people use to realise their ideas, and they are accessible to people without any experience - the vast majority of us here are not professionals and had no or minimal experience in any of the fan editing disciplines before embarking on our projects. Similarly, at this point, the vast majority of ideas that can be had about especially the earlier movies have been had already, and more radical ones (like replace a character) are still outwith practicality. I’d recommend reading through the ideas threads, and the threads for the most successful projects, to see what the process looks like, and help refine your vision, and then consider picking up one of the tools required to realise it.

When I came up with this thread (too scared to look). The ethos was to think outside the confines of what is obviously doable (though by no means easy) such as trims and adding deleted content and come up with ideas that really shake the prequels up and make them closer to the sort of films a viewer from 1983 would have anticipated.
There are some really great ideas in these many pages. Some that would have been very close to impossible when the thread began are now possibly doable thanks to AI voices and deep fake technology married with the ancient arts of model making and acting. This thread has always been and hopefully shall remain a place were imagination and ideas are more prominent than solutions (though both are encouraged). It is nice to see it still going.
