Hulu lacks the skills to take down Voltron.
Hulu lacks the skills to take down Voltron.
During the dream sequence we could hear Dr McCoy entreat Kirk to climb the steps to Mount Leia. And when Rey is handing Luke the saber we could hear him say “Remember” and Han say “what you looking at…? I know what I’m doing”
The prequels are pretty rank.
I hate those bloody posts on facebook that put some horrific picture of a child dead or in peril and demand you like and share with an amen. Or tell you that “haters” will scroll passed.
A pox on them all.
It’s not even a prayer. It’s a facebook share with a typed word.
Not trying to defend 9/11 jokes but some of the best comedy shows and films going were about the second world war and 60,000,000 lost their lives in that.
Comedy should be judged on it’s ability to make us laugh not about what it’s about.
Dealing with a difficult subject requires a bit of sensitivity but if sixty million deaths can be the background for really funny comedy anything can.
Just maybe in more skilled hands.
I don’t like Superman: The Movie either.
Pushing aside all my issues with Clark’s characterization, I still hate everything pertaining to Luthor, Otis, and that dumbass ending.
It’s baffling that it’s a 4 stars on RogerEbert.com. Man of Steel is leaps and bounds ahead of the first superman.
If you don’t like the first Donner Superman, that’s fine. But saying Man of Steel is better? 'Em is fighting words!
Man of steel is deeper, better acted, better characterization (surprisingly enough) all IMO
You need a second opinion 😄
{mistake post}
The times I’ve wished I’d typed that.
It was a good read 😃 When Chewie angrily fires at Ken after Han’s ‘death’ you could hear Han say “run Chewie run”.
Sock or new guy with incredibly poor choice in first posting?
I don’t know looks like a healthy sort of loaf to me. Better than that awful Chorleywood muck.
You could use some of the concept art as matte paintings and replace some of the CGI shots with bits of them leaving small windows of movement suggestive of being composited into the painting.
Human League : Dare
Crikey Non killing a kid with a small plastic lamp is grim stuff. Sorry Warb that must be the version you saw.

I’m tempted to write to Barry Manilow and tell him all about these shenanigans. He is a responsible entertainer, he doesn’t like his fanbase mucking around like this.
Maybe someone can answer this question for me. I remember watching Superman II on tv and had a scene in which Ursa kills the boy in the fight in the town. What cut was that from?
Sounds like a false memory. I apologise if I am wrong but child murder in a family movie was a no-no back then. The second ewok movie called in a new era of taboo shattering.
Mark’s Down On Your Syntax said:
Superman mercilessly killing Zod at the end is just wrong though. Oh wait, wrong movie… Oh wait, no it’s not!!! Damn you Man of Steel haterz, damn you to the Phantom Zone! Remember your history! Never forget the atrocities of the 80’s!
What if I hate MoS for reasons other than the slaying of Zod?
It’s ambiguous but they are thrown down pits (what is it about the late seventies/eighties and caped guys causing pitfalls?) So he could survive any version. Indeed deleted material of them being arrested was included in the television cut suggesting that death was not the intended fate for the terrible trio. That’s a world away from a fist fight causing whole buildings to collapse and a neck snap.
A near masterpiece my recommendation on how to improve the totally finished and final product would be to make the music a bit more prominent. Though I can understand the desire to not drown out the brilliant sound effects. Well done sound actor team.
Anticipation is understandable, patience is appreciated.
Thread title call back time. I dreamt that I had a much bigger garden with trees running down the middle leading to a stream. I must have just moved there as the garden was a bit undeveloped it looked like early spring. I was in the kitchen and potting some sprouting food scraps, (lettuce cores, potato peel basically things with roots on) and I noticed what seem to be a dead woodlouse. I dug it out and place her broken body on the work counter and felt very sad and guilty because it was possible that my scurrying around planting things might have resulted in her injury and death. A few of her legs began to move and I thought she might spring back into life but instead a hole appeared in her chest and another woodlouse crawled out then another and another. These were not baby woodlice but fully formed adults almost the same size as the body they had climbed out of. They all looked up at me from the kitchen counter but not in an accusatory way. I was filled with a sense of great joy and warmth as they twiddled their antennae at me. I love woodlice I wonder why I dream of them so often?
I rather like the way Vader looks in Rebels.
There was a fan edit hybrid which was my preferred version as the Donner one isn’t finished. I rather like the Lester one too but Hackman being hacked off meant that version is sort of unfinished as well (obvious body double was obvious).
I’m posting using my phone so I just accessed the emoticon menu but there is probably a markdown code too.
Superman '78 comes instantly to mind. Aside from the Smallville scenes and Reeve’s performance whenever he’s not wearing glasses, I utterly despise the entire movie.
I almost feel the same way about Superman II, but Terence Stamp’s hammy performance elevates it to tolerable levels.
Both films are really good but the first is a classic almost on par with the first two Star Wars films and Raiders so 🌍🌎🌏🔄🕛🕧🕐🕜🕑🕝🕒🕞🕓🕟🕔🕠🕕🕡🕖🕢🕗🕣🕘🕤🕙🕥🕚🕦🕚
Is that an obscure “As The World Turns” reference in emoticons?
I was using the weight of my opinion to reach superluminal velocity and travel backwards in time.
Salo is highly regarded but I just find it’s message obvious and it’s assault on the audience utterly unnecessary. The sort of people who would watch that sort thing don’t need to. In that regard it’s as much an exploitation movie as any Human Centipede movie and South Park did that better.
I watched Serenity first I didn’t even know about the telly show at the time. Now there is a film they could do a sequel to.
