So in case you didn’t know:

Are you ready for a monumental Doctor Who experience? For the first time in the show’s 54-year span, Peter Davison, Colin Baker, Sylvester McCoy, Paul McGann, David Tennant, Matt Smith and Peter Capaldi are meeting up to break bread, fish fingers and custard… with YOU. Trust us. You and a companion will join these seven brilliant Doctors for this history-making meal in the private dining room of the iconic Wolseley Restaurant in London. We can only imagine what the conversation will be like. This is truly a legendary opportunity and will likely go down as the most epic breakfast in television history. So don’t blink! Flights provided by British Airways and hotel accommodations at The Ned, Soho House’s newest hotel, also included.

Check it out!

What about Tom Baker and Christopher Eccleston?

See The Five Doctors and Day of the Doctor for clues 😄

Ranking the Alien films
Time

Once again I feel duty bound to throw my hat into the ring here.

  1. Alien (5balls) perfect film.
  2. Assembly Cut of Alien 3 (3balls) too much swearing and some of the effects are dated but very atmospheric. If only they had just left Vincent Ward alone to make the film they had paid him to develop and direct.
  3. Aliens (2andahalfballs) one of the best action films of that decade and quotable but tatty and lazy.
  4. AVP (2balls) much better than it should be given the premise but still very silly and unnecessary.
  5. Alien Resurrection (1andahalfballs) some good ideas but the tone is way off. The only good thing to come out of the project was half a season of Firefly and Serenity.
  6. Prometheus (a ball) the same plot as AVP only making less sense but with even more stupid characters. Looks nice though.
  7. AVP Requiem. (infinitenegativeballs) 80s style Friday 13th rip-off with the worst lighting in any film. One scene actively subverts the best scene in the first film by making pregnant women the victims instead of John Hurt’s unwelcome pregnancy. Offensively awful.

Alien Covenant is the new 7 AVP:R is very similar with its 80s slasher cheese.

I’ve never eaten quiche, but stupid, stupid rat creatures and Michael Ironside have made me want to try some.

Real men don’t eat quiche.

But I’m not a real man. I’m a figment of your imagination (as is everyone else here).

That can’t be right, I’m supposed to be everyone here… I can’t be a figment of my own imagination can I? What would Descartes say? I bet he ate quiche.

Sorry to hear you are going through so much. The only thing I can suggest is that you tell your doctor(s) what is happening to you.

Thanks Warb.
Yeah I guess something like that will have to happen eventually.
Hopefully the splint and my eventual summer break will settle things a bit.
It’s hard to tell how much of this is just job stress/fatigue and how much is ongoing the medical doodars.
My busted knee cap is sending it’s regards too.
But there is always someone worse off than yourself so grumble mode deactivated.

I’ve got a number of chronic conditions but it’s the anticonvulsives that are the difficult one to balance.
Too little and I’m at risk of seizures and too much and I’m at risk of being being irratable and snappy (I work around vulnerable people so that’s the last thing I want).
A break would be very welcome (I’m up at six in the morning, do quite a bit of travelling and I’m unofficially on call out of hours).
It doesn’t help that the manager of the place I’m in secondment to is really not doing her job and our service which is successful and helping lots of people is at risk of being axed because she is a bit shy when it comes to filling in funding bid forms.
She seems more concerned with how she might redeploy me as one of her team rather than what is going to happen to the service users. I don’t do the job just to make money I specifically chose the job to help care providers. In any other context I would rather eat my own legs than work for this person directly.
Apnea is possible. Bruxism is certain. I’ve just forked out a large amount of money for a dental splint so I don’t grind down the remaining teeth in my head. Headaches are really something.

I find myself tired all the time.
Most days I go straight to bed when I get home and sometimes I begin to knod off on the bus/train back from work (I’m thankful that I’m forbidden to drive).
I get up really late at weekends too so I just feel like I’m working and not much else.
I went through a period of this when the guys at the hospital were rejigging my medication which was much worse, to the point where it was impossible to work.
It’s a really crucial point in the year for our service so I dare not take time off.

Saw Alien Covenant last night.

As with Prometheus the characters were intensely stupid. David and the White Toothy Things are the only things good about this movie.
My expectations were so low that it didn’t annoy me as much this time.
It’s very much like watching Attack of the Clones only with slightly less annoying dialogue and more sexy showers.

Peeps please bare in mind the official release date is not set in stone, so please don’t pile the pressure on master ady if he requires a little more time to polish a diamond with the finished product, but that won’t be long.

Aye… It doesn’t stipulate Anno Domini now does it? For all we know the complete edit was buried in June 2017BCE

Since that post Adywan hasn’t posted anything new. WHAT’S GOING ON ?!? IS HE STILL ALIVE ?!?

Maybe he’s busy working on ESB:R…

I’m gonna wager a guess that MalaStrana was being sarcastic 😉

So was I…

Ah yes, the ironic double-sarcastic anti-joke - the lowest form of humour. 😛

Humor. It is a difficult subject. It is not logical.

You learn by doing.
