How bout this - one transition would be to have Vader chop off Lukes hand & have vader stood over Luke as he gets his robotic hand and then the 2 of them stand at a window on the Executor as they approach the deathstar/ curuscant
You could even have some of the landing platform dialog used there & have vader give luke his new (red blade) lightsaber
how are you going to cover the change in wardrobe?
why not 1/2 to 3/4 of the viewing public couldn't stand them either :P

What if time travel was introduced into a Star Wars edit and more bizarrely what if Luke was Anakin Skywalker using an alias?
He starts off as a small boy raised by his mother and not knowing who his father is.
He is placed sent live with his Aunt and Uncle to keep him safe and grows up to become Luke from ANH.
He meets Obi-Wan finds out about Vader, sees Ben Killed but hears him in his head, blows up the Death Star etc
But when he goes into the cave in Dagobah he becomes Anakin Teenager.
He lives through the Clone Wars falls in love with a senator turns to the dark side and Pregnant Padme goes into the cave on Dagobah and wakes up as Shmi on Tatooine.
Luke puts this all down to a bizarre dream (part of his training) but when he encounters Vader on Bespin he finds out Vader is his father but he knows he is also Vader (he is his own Father).
He then has to redeem himself.
Not sure how it would work but it's certainly an idea I haven't heard anybody else coming up with.

just finished watching building empire & I have to say some of the Super 8 dialog fits in so much better than what is there today, not all mind you but some, it will be interesting to hear if any of it gets in to ESB:R

As some of you may know I live in a town called Westport, situated on the souther tip of Clew bay, on the west coast of Ireland.
well we have a very famous mountain nearby that is well known in christian circles, it is said that Saint Patrick climbed it and stayed for 40 days and 40 nights, to pray for the souls of the Irish.
Well now there is a local man who is unemployed who one day he had a stroke of genius, instead of sitting on his arse all day doing nothing he is climbing the Reek (local name for the mountain) everyday for a full year.
and all for charity, the previous record for most amount of consecutive climbs by 1 man was held for 6 months nearly over a century ago my one of the men who helped build the church on the summit, That record was recently defeated by Matt who just completed climb 218 this morning.
now I doubt very much anyone on here would donate & quite frankly I don't expect anyone too. but I thought you might like to have a look at his website & truly amazing photographs.
