I remember thinking how great it was that the cockpits are no longer transparent. it wasn't until i started Revisited that i realised that what they said was totally and utter lies. All they did was slightly change the black level and didn't re-composite the shots at all.  I decided to re watch that clip where they showed the difference before and after because i thought that the 2004 DVD's may have mistakenly used the unfixed footage. but i couldn't believe that , even though they show a before and after comparison and say how they fixed it, that the 2 shots were exactly the same but with different black levels.

Actually, if you look at these comparisons closely, the cockpit is more transparent in the SE version than it is in the Original. You can clearly see the outline of the AT-AT through the cockpit, especially its neck and foot, strut in the SE but you can't so much in the GOUT

i really wish i could get hold of the original elements so i could re-composite them properly but that's never going to happen, sadly.

 

 The energy beams are easier to spot than the AT-AT.

 

 

personally I would just be happy to get rid of the lasers from the inside of the cockpit

I would make my own fan edit just to get rid of that stick that pokes up out of the set and pushes the AT-AT over.  Honestly, I think it would be an easy fix, and I would be REALLY UPSET if the stick was in Revisited.

I swear by Handbrake myself

I couln't burn the movie to DVD due to some glitch with "Star_Wars_Revisited_By_Adywan_PAL.part20" so I coundn't even watch it with my Macbooks DVD player past that chapter.

I put it trough handbrake and I've had it on my iPhone ever since

he probably plans to re lease the CGI yoday in all 5 movies about 5 DVD re re re re releases from now

I do know what you're getting at, but I've always liked to think that although Han realised that there was something amiss, Leia (who said the line) had never encountered such an entity as this in her experience before, and simply didn't really register / comprehend that those were actual gigantic teeth in the distance, of some monstrous worm they were now inside of, rather than just the asteroid cave they initially entered....

Hope that helps a little.  I'd rather keep the teeth though, than have a 'gumsy' worm, regardless of that line.

OK so its been a while since I've seen this one, I coundn't remember if it was her or 3PO that said it. (don't hurt me) 

For Me, Leia comes off as being really thick in this scene.

No I just hate the fact that somebody says "the cave is collapsing" when it is extremely obvious that they are not in a cave.

tinting the clouds green just doesn't cut it for me!

if it were possible to have clouds swarm around the xwing I'd be a happy viewer but I just cant see that happening.
