Last of the Mohicans - Original Theatrical Cut - BD-50 *RELEASED*
Time

Hi jerryshadoe!

First I'd like to congratulate you on this awesome project.

As it has been discussed ad nauseam on blu-ray.com and avsforum, LOTM BD is one of worst offenders in the revisionim department (edit, video, audio) and as a fan, it would be fantastic to have a reconstrucion of the Theatrical Cut with the best elements available.

Since you asked on the first post, I believe the best source for audio is the 1993 LD (http://www.lddb.com/laserdisc/04661/1986-85/Last-of-the-Mohicans-The-(1992)) as it features the best version of the original mix and overall a much better fidelity than the Brazilian TC DVD 5.1 remix (I'm from Brazil and I have this DVD).

LDs are unbeatable for audio on catalog titles

Movies with wrong color grading *** UPDATED ***
Time

Hello Andrea,

Demolition Man would be another great project. It's a shame so many catalog titles from Warner need a workaround. After Mad Max 2, the Lethal Weapon series (1 to 3), Demolition Man, Cobra and Assassins would be my favorite candidates for correction.

Regarding the Demolition Man caps you posted, for this specific frame I really preferred the full DVD colors on BD. I think the blue casting suits the movie.

Could you please post some more samples? If you could use the remaining caps-a-holic shots it wuold be great to have a better idea of the best color timming.

EDIT: ohh, and how could I forget: Heat (it's so teal on BD). Another great Michael Mann (and Warner's to get the 'tealtment')

I'm doing some catching up with my favorite thread and I'd like to like to put this one back in the spotline to say a HUGE THANK YOU to all involved in this fantastic project, specially Andrea and Jerryshadoe.

The specs for Version 2.0 audiophile edition are so teasing that I cannot wait to finally be able to watch it.

Regarding the video aspect, I second Doombot and others that I always like to have best version with the highest bitrate possible, so that there are no compromises to the original source (be it the BD video or something else).

I'm so anxious for this project!

Thanks for the cap and all the hard work Andrea. It's looking awesome!

I hope you and Jonno can figure out to put in a bit perfect LD PCM track.

I think part 3 can use some work  too.

Sheena 1984 *RELEASED*

I recently watched this, and it's another fantastic release by Team Blu!!!

Image quality is great and the de-interlace work is totally seamless (I believe it was from an interlaced source, right?).

The LaserDisc audio track really impressed me. I'm a huge fan of LD tracks, but this time I was a bit more skeptical because there was no digital sound LD for the movie. Not a problem here though, DJ's digital capture and sync of the anolog track is fantastic. It shows how good a properly done analog track can sound.

The only issue with the original mix (and not at all a TB's fault) is that sometimes there are dialog bleeds to the left channel. It sounds a little bit like an echoing effect.

The inclusion of the original HD stream audio is very nice as well!

I just sampled the 5.1 track because I really don't like remixes. So I won't post any thoughtful comments about it, but I know it should please enthusiasts.

The extra package is simple, but very nice.

Congratulations Team Blu, you guys nailed it again!!!

ps:Now I can't wait to watch TWB.

Halloween [spoRv] *BD-25 RELEASED*

Hi Andrea,

congratulations on one more fantastic project!

I only have one suggestion/request: should this one be a BD-50 to keep the video at the highest quality?

On The Thing and The Matrix the video encoding wasn't such a problem because the original discs were already very filtered and soft. But on this one is a new transfer using high quality elements and we'd like to preserve it as untouched as possible.

I'm afraid a higher compression rate would affect the transparency on the new encode.

Well, it's just some thoughts to consider. I trust you know how to handle it the for the better.

This one simply looks stunning! I want the whole movie with these colors. There's a slight purple tint which looks more natural than the green/yellow one from the DVD. I also wonder if these colors are more accurate to the theatrical release. It would be interesting to see how the colors look on the LD.

Exactly, I'd live to see the movie looking like this. This color timming looks lush!

And it actually matches the original poster art.

There also 2 other original posters with the same color style

BTW, I'd love to see the LD caps as well

Fright Night Part II 1988 *RELEASED*

Hi Deathcab6366,

Congratulations on the awesome coverart worK! Keep them coming

And I also have a suggestion / request. Could you please make matching covers for other titles of the same franchise. Studio covers usually suck and they don't use original poster art for the moves.

I mean, Fright Night, for example, would be my most wanted. But one for Conan the Destroyer would be very nice also.

All the projects are looking great! As always, I can't wait to watch them!

I have just one fanboy question about a technical aspect, will they include the LD audio? For me, this is the single most desirable feature for any 80'ies and 90'ies movies.

I know some of them don't have a digital PCM track, but, in these cases, an analog track capture would be desirable and justified.

I just finished watching Teamblu's FN2 release in full.

WOW I just can't believe it. It's so great. The work you guys are pulling off is amazing, feels like magic!!!!

The PCM track is unbelieable!

Also, movie was so much fun (I was a fan of the first one, but I hadn't watched the sequel yet).

The bonus material suprised me again (like it did on NTLD and Conan), and that's a huge compliment, because I'm no fan of extras beside trailers.

Speaking of which, the Space Kaijuu remastered HD trailer is icing on the cake (awesome!). If you're reading this, please, we need more of it!

Let's not forget the menus, they were just how I like them: simple, effective and with a great soundtrack to boot.

Fantastic work, Congratulations to the Team again!

Our Night Of The Living Dead 1990 project (Released)
Time

Having now watched Team Blu’s NTLD90 and I also spent a lot of  time with back-and-forth, comparing the vídeo options and multiple soundtracks, I should say: WOW!!!! Absolutely incredible!!!

Dark Jedi and the team have outdone themselves this time. A professional class work, no less. The selection of audio tracks is amazing and the two video options are beyond what I could imagine for the movie. Also, the remastered vídeo shows a huge improvement over Twilight Time’s offering.

I’m not a big fan of extras features, besides trailers, but the selection included here has impressed me. Specially the before-and-after segment, it was a such a cool unique feature.

For anyone on the fence, do be. Enjoy this gem as soon as you can.

I thank TeamBlu again for making this fantastic work available to all of us enthusitasts. Congratulations!!!
