STAR WARS: EP V "REVISITED EDITION"ADYWAN - 12GB 1080p MP4 VERSION AVAILABLE NOW

@ImperialFighter

To be honest, the continuity errors during that whole end sequence have never bothered me. They are not at the point where they stand out like the Walkers in the hoth battle do ( all over the place ).

I think the movie still works fine with or without them....the continuity errors during that end sequence I mean.

I always thought that it was just another galaxy that they were looking at where ever the rebel fleet was at that point in the movie, nothing more. It has nothing to do with the plot IMO, and it doesn't ruin the movie at all. It's just something to look at, and thats how I have always viewed it. It's been part of starwars cannon since 1980, so deal with it folks, Ady is not going to change it.

Mithrandir, you can't just add a "tremblor" as you call it without reshooting the scene with a breeze blowing. Besides, the scene is just fine as it already is.

I agree, the scene is just fine as it is. You don't need realism in every shot. Thats what current hollywood is so hung up on.

That scene is a crucial part of the story, and you don't need wind in the face just to sell the effect that luke is flying away in his x-wing at the same time yoda is talking to Obi-wan. Lighting, music and sound FX are all that is needed.

Maybe for the shot where you see the maximum firepower lasers firing at the shield generator, making them green to indicate green is the strongest firepower as that laser is used for the Death Star, Star Destroyers, and the Tie Fighters

Ady has already said a long time ago the AT-AT lasers will remain red, so your wasting your time with the topic.

All Ady is going to do is brighten the laser cores and possibly add more thickness to the maxim firepower.

It's been nice to see this thread returning back to ESB:R and it would be a pain to see it wander off course again.

Seems to be a rarity now to talk ESB:R.....

Anyway, having 2 imperial walkers combine firepower at shield generator is a interesting idea. Ady would have to make a completely new shot/s for that sequence because it wont work as it is. I also hope Ady fixes all the continuity errors with the spacing of the walkers throughout the hoth battle.

Hey guys. Sorry if this has already been discussed, but is there any release date more specific than "2011"? I am so excited about this movie! I know the wait will be worth it, I was just curious :D

I think Ady mentioned something a while back about finishing ESB:R by June 2011; however, Ady will be caring for his dad real soon, and he said he wants to get it done a soon as possible. So we could very well see it sooner.

Someone please correct me if I'm wrong on this.

That really sucks that the guy with the Hi-rez mattes will not let anybody use them. What a waste of resources. Maybe he works for lucasfilm in some form.

Wonder if I could model one of those and do a test composite to see if it could work. The ship itself is relatively easy to model. I could bump map all the detail and since the lighting in the scene is pretty contrasty, I could get away with alot. I wouldn't even have to model the whole ship either, just one side since it's just the side you see in the shot..

Having a pretty stressful day today. I've almost completed the whole of the opening sequence of the bespin approach and i have 1 shot left to do. but it's not working. All the other shots look great, but the new first glance at cloud city i just can't get it to look right. If this doesn't work i will have to scrap everything bi have done for the new approach sequence and revert it back to the original. Gutted.

Mind showing me that problem shot Ady? I might be able to suggest some alternative ideas that could help you out.

Sorry if I've missed it, but going back over 20 pages of R2 Sock conversations made my head ache, but has Mr. Wan made a statement on whether he's interested in using what might be on the upcoming Blu-Ray releases?

Ady may not be able to successfully do that as the video codecs from the Blue-ray might not be compatible with the Sony Vegas video editor that he uses. Even if he converted the Blu-ray to a uncompressed AVI format, it still might not work in vegas. I have sony vegas and I have a real hard time finding video that will work with it even though it says it works with most all video formats.

But anyway, who knows, the force is strong with ADY. He could very well make it possible.

I've taken out the AT-ST's from the battle and i'm going to be leaving their first appearance for ROTJ

As much as I hate to see it's removal, it does make more sense to remove it. It did noting the whole entire battle, and it doesnt even move the same as the ones in ROTJ. Plus it's only shown in two very quick shots. I also suspect that there was only one of them deployed with the AT-AT's because it's just one that I see on the screen at any given time.

True! At least the windows i added was for 2 shots and an easy job. Adds to the global illumination.

Your hallway is still a bit too blue, even with addition of windows. The photons from the sunlight should dominate the hall, making it more white like everything else. The only thing that should still be the same (IMO ) would be the bluish light in the ceiling, the only area where the suns photons would be the weakest.

I think that there is a large part of time that passes between Lando's address and them reaching the Falcon. This is how i see it: The first door they go to when he addresses the city is where Lando's ship is docked. But they can't get to it so Lando then decides to head for the Falcon, which is in a different part of the city. Now he's only just addressed the city but in the next shot we see people running with some of their belongings. A bit too quick for them to have heard the announcement, gathered their stuff and started escaping, to be happening immediately after the announcement.

Ah I see, that makes perfect sence...except for the lighting of the sky which looks exactly like it does when the falcon takes off. Would you consider lightening the sky up just a tad in that small scene? However, if your content with how it is, then I can easily live with it also.

It's because they're reverse angles. For instance, if you face north, the sky is moving to your right, but if you face south, it is moving to the left, yet the fact is it's moving east regardless of which way you face.

There's one detail I think all of you may have missed on those two pics posted. The lighting on the clouds as we face the storm troopers is back lit and they should not be back lit. They should only be back lit when we see the falcon take off.

I made a quickie to demonstrate. I tried to darken the upper sky but it proved too difficult, and looked bad compared to the clouds. I could only darken the clouds.

Just curious though, but the part where Lando addresses the city, and we cut to the SE shot of the crowd outside listening, the over all contrast of that scene seems to be a little bit on the light side. Now I don't know how much real-time passes between that moment, up until we see Lando and company blast off in the Falcon, I'm guessing just a couple of mineuts. If it is just a few mineuts, shouldn't contrast of crowd listening to lando address the city be pretty much the same as when the Falcon blasts off?

Just an observation thats all....

Just reposting this ADY, because I think you might have missed it ( page 714 ).
